Why in the world are you afraid to call the school? And you do realize that not everything posted on DCUM is accurate, right? So you could keep bumping the thread and begging for answers and get the wrong info.

If you're that anxious, your time is best spent working on the best Plan B you can for your Hilda. Sad truth is, no amount of stressing on DCUM will improve your chances at Stokes, and because the top of the Stokes wait lists are full of parents who were lucky and motivated, unless you're in the top 5 you probably need to work your Plan B anyway.

Could someone (maybe the busy body who's busy being so righteous on an anonymous blog, but not righteous enough to stay away from anonymous blog) call Stokes and let us all know. Should we be waiting until the enrollment forms are due to expect a call. Also, how annoyed will they be if we start calling to ask about WL movement? I've heard they don't repost updates.

If someone told them today, that they are not taking their offered spot, and you are next on the waitlist, you will get a call today or tomorrow.

I guess I should of added: This is assuming that a kid with sibling preference does not jump ahead of you on the waitlist.

There are quite a few low WL number kids in the higher grades with siblings in PreK/K with high level WL#. If the higher grade kids get in off of the WL, the PreK/K siblings jump to the top of the list and would get the next available spot (if one is offered)
