Marguerite brings back a flood of memories for me! When I was little I spent a lot of time staying with my grandma at her house (my grandfather died when I was very young) and her best friend across the street was Marguerite. I've never heard anyone else with that name! We'd go over to her house and watch the Waltons and Lawrence Welk on Saturday night. I wish I could go back in time to one of those nights with my grandma. Her name was Ruth - now my daughter's middle name and my grandpa was Glenn - my son's middle name. Grandparents on the other side were Georgia and Ellis.

Fun thread!

I have a great Aunt Marguerite. I hadn't thought of it much but it really is a pretty name.

Hildreth is an interesting middle name. I used to have a friend with that last name.

Somehow I don't think Mildred Will ever make the cool retro baby names list.

I have a friend who wanted to honor a Mildred grandmother; her daughter is now Mildri

I don't think Bertha will either. . .
