Kids snacks at private schools

There is usually a fruit option, but also potato chips, cheez its, and other unhealthy garbage that I don't want my kid eating every single day (or maybe even twice a day, if there is an afternoon snack). I know they end up eating that stuff at birthday parties, but it feels different to have it incorporated into their diet everyday. What is the experience like for snacks at other schools?
GDS has the most horrible food snacks and cafeteria. they do not care. Many times the students are going HUNGRY , GDS needs to fire their chef for the cafeteria and focuses on providing good quality snack and food for their students

Is it all the years? I thought it was just the younger ones?

My daughter is in catholic school and the snacks are also super unhealthy. I pack the morning snack and the afternoon (extended day) snack is provided by the school. Even if I included a second snack, my daughter would eat what the school offers, because Oreos, Pringles, pretzels are apparently more appealing than apples and mandarines.

My public's school kid's snacks are way better than this,. They also have a school garden and cooking class and send home recipes like kale chips. The peer pressure thing is real so I'm psyched these kids are making things like red beet hummus and eating it with carrots they grew. So yeah, if I were paying tuition, I'd be annoyed if my kid was getting Oreo and goldfish.
