Here's the ending I would have loved: Simone gets together with Peter, but runs circles around him, charming his kids and the staff, while scheming her way to money and power. Dad moves to the island and has a full-time caretaker. Devon takes a month-long trip with Morgan. Eventually, Simone inherits everything, the dad passes, and Simone and Devon live happily ever after as rich single ladies, with many servants and boy toys. |
Simone is not that likeable |
Peters kids are older than Simone. They might tolerate her to see their dad, but not a chance in hell that she would charm them. |
Sorry that happened, how exhausting. |
I thought it was masturbation. |
i never really thought about it until this show but meghan Fahy reminds me a little of michelle pfeiffer in some scenes |
I thought he was having a panic attack. Didn't he and Simone have a conversation about panic attacks at some point earlier? |
Dude what? It was a panic attack. That’s one of their bonds. Get it? |
Good grief. That's a lot of personal baggage you're projecting onto a silly show. DP |
Says the other woman... Seriously, anyone who thinks that a man abandoning and rejecting his kids after moving on with an affair partner is not common, is deluding themselves. So is anyone claiming they don't understand why the kids blame the other woman instead of the dad. If you think that, then you are either the other woman, or you don't pay attention. That part was one of the most realistic side plots of the entire series |
Yes and this scene actually worried me a bit (silly right?) because if peter was having a heart attack and he died, Kiki would get everything and that wasn't sitting right with me at that moment in the show! |
If you liked this series, what other series or films do you recommend? I like dark comedy or dramedy. |
Bad sisters
Nine perfect Strangers White Lotus |
+1 Also, The Better Sister |
If you missed the perfect couple, it has some similar themes. Your Friends and Neighbors is also a good one. And I’m enjoying The Better Sister as well though I would say it is not very humorous. |
