True. More next week per CEO.

Does HSSEDI even exist anymore?

Which lab?

I'm also wondering about the labs. DOE seems to have been hit pretty hard; that can't possibly be confined to the non-labs.

I heard DOE is prime target for a round of RIFs.

The new CEO is much more transparent than Jason, but time will tell how he manages the mess he inherited. There are a bunch of Mitre execs who are just seat fillers that have no business running this size of a company. Jason let the mediocre execs stay but Mark Peters will need to clear them out.

I expect the DoE ER labs to be slashed more deeply than the DoE defense program labs.

I heard it’s going away.

What’s the other FFRDC?

DHS has 3 FFRDCs: HSOAC, HSSEDI, and NBACC.

HSOAC is circling down the drain.

Curious - why do you say this? are you on the FFRDC side or the DHS S&T side?

S&T. Lots of doubt about the value from what I hear… I don’t work in the PMO, so I might wrong.

I hear bad things from the FFRDC side as well. It just has not gone well for either party.

DHS is a sizable amount of RAND’s work. If that FFRDC ends, there will likely be RIFs.
