There are a lot of things that Trump can't protect people against. Even if Trump pardons them, he can't stop state criminal charges, he can't stop civil suits, he can't stop Congressional hearings and impeachments if Republicans lose Congress, he can't stop people from losing their law licenses, he can't stop military court-martials after he is no longer in charge, he can't protect them against future charges, and other things like that.

A lot of people in his orbit need to wake up and understand that, and soon.
