No way did they think that a little bit of drugs could kill them. Not a user, did not even previously know people who could get them the drugs. Looking into their phone would have given them a clue where they went and how they got them. Nobody did that.

So, seller are not being punished as only few customers die. The fentanyl crisis hasn't reached half the people yet.

Very sad. This is why I object to the term overdose thrown at many of these cases. That’s not what really happened.

Excellent point.

But technically, that's exactly what it is. He may not have known about the existence of fentanyl in what he took, but he definitely overdosed on it.

Does not f g matter .... he should not have been doing drugs. It is possible in this world for your kid to say no.

My kid does not do drugs, scared to death to try them with the whole fentanyl thing that's going on everywhere. Guess what she also brings her own drinks to parties and never lets anyone purchase drinks for her when out with friends. She is a strong kid with her convictions but it gets her excluded because she is not one of the cool kids, nevertheless she still has a good core group of friends. I'm sure many of the parents on this board are parents of those children that pressure other's children into trying something, just to fit in. No one is innocent here.

I posted in the Narcan thread in the Teens section.

Some DCUM-a$$h0le smugly replied that “her children did not hang around with trash” so her kids did not need to save anyone’s life with Narcan.

Question for that Anonymous user:

was Susan Wojcicki’s son “trash?”

Of course he is trash, same as Biden's son. I have not seen so far any successful kid raised by extreme liberal parents, they all have serious issues. You can call it by official diagnoses or just trash, it is up to you.

Her mother wrote a book about how she raised amazing children

I remember how hard I rolled my eyes about the book. I don’t think people understand how much of their (parenting) success is due to luck.

Yep, unfortunately the first thing I though of when I heard this news is the incredibly smug mother (grandmother of the boy) bragging about her parenting and raising her daughters to be successful.

Same here

I wonder if this will break thru their delusions about open borders, mass migration, lawlessness, etc?

Of course not. They are readily sacrifice their children for their policies. Look at Jill Biden.

Why wouldn’t I keep some around, or show your kids how to use it? They can save someone’s life. There is no greater act of service than saving someone’s life.

Because I don’t want my minor kids hanging around with other minors who take recreational drugs.

My 80 year old father carries Narcan around with him. He's never even had a beer. He's just a kind person who doesn't want people to die if he can easily prevent it.

If only it wasn't so easy to get drug across the border.

Oh well.

100%. They created and enabled this mess. Their kids pay.

Your 80 YO father is - most likely- not hanging out with other 80 year olds who may be doing recreational drugs. This is not an accurate analogy.

Sounds like a filthy liberal to me. For strong valued conservatives, the cruelty is the goal.

That's what Oregon did. It was a disaster, and overdoses shot up. They are in the process of re-implementing criminal penalties for drugs now.
