I am as pro choice as they come and I 100% agree with you - but REPUBLICANS ARE NOT DOING THIS. I am actually shocked about how badly they botched the messaging. They really, truly, don't understand that some of their messaging impacts millions of women who may be prolife but now are stressed about they or their daughter's or DILs will get prenatal care, what happens if they have an ectopic pregnancy or a miscarriage, etc. It's like Republicans had no idea what they were doing or never expected Roe to fall. |
The GOP is not messaging their way out of this one. |
Or we could pay the peoples better. Or we could have cheaper housing due to fewer new peoples. More worker = cheaper wage for the capitalist pig dog. |
This is why Trump doesn't appear with them. |
My dad spent one summer after high school picking strawberries. From this he earned enough to buy a brand new car (Plymouth Duster). If an 18 year old could earn enough doing a menial job for three months to buy a new car you bet they would be willing to do it. Instead they pay slave wages that only an illegal is willing to take. And yes, strawberries were more expensive in the 1970s. That's a price we should be willing to pay for a functioning country. |
I'm not sure that arguing for higher food prices is going to get us anywhere But I agree - wages go up, and they still buy less. Except for clothes - clothes have gotten really cheap comparatively! It's also pretty easy to eat pretty cheaply, if you shop for price. But cars and houses, and healthcare, are all VERY expensive. Education, too. |

Clothes, electronics like large screen TVs and many other things are cheap as compared to a decade or two ago. For most people, wages have been stagnant. But for the c-suite and upper echelon, they have seen huge increases in income. What makes the CEO of today worth so much more than a CEO in the 1980s? Nothing. |
I mean that's capitalism - you're worth what the market is willing to pay you. |
