No doubt, at the rate we're going with deteriorating quality of presidential candidates, the Rs will nominate Donald Duck and Ds will nominate Goofy for president in 2028. Donald Duck may actually be an upgrade from the other Donald for the GOP.

Why does any Democrat want Goofy?

I don't think Dem voters "want" Goofy nor do GOP voters "want" Donald Duck but unfortunately the parties have more to say in who gets nominated than the voters (as strange as that sounds).
