Super Bowl commercials

I liked the Amazon add with the dog being destructive after the family went back to work/school after Covid. Then they brought in the crate but it was really a pet companion for him.

I liked that ad where everyone's name was a pun (was that for crypto?) the one on premature electrification.

Made me laugh.

I accept this is probably just me but I really hated at the end her tone when she said "she only likes the blue one" -- like the dad was an idiot who didn't know anything about his kid.

We liked the Doritos ad and how the triangle went viral and suddenly there was Elton John getting all the accolades, as usual!

We were worried that the life story of the dog was going to end with the dog dying, but were relieved when it didn’t. And I hate dogs!

I am not Christian but it was actually a good commercial.

It's right wing Christian propaganda and it seems like it's working.

At least it was an accurate depiction of Jesus’s message. The fact that you react so negatively to it suggests you might benefit from embracing that message, including having a little more grace.

The question is who paid for the ad and what do they believe.

So you’re into shooting the messenger. Cool.

Not just you. Already called that one out for that dad is an dufus trope. So incredibly offensive and unrealistic.

I liked it too. Between Amazon and Farmer’s Dog, my dog-owning heart!

No one is shooting anyone, but the same people funding the Jesus Super Bowl ad campaign are also funding the lawsuit seeking to ban abortion medication.

Would Jesus spend $20 million on marketing vs helping people?

This. My DH and I were laughing all the way through th ecommrcial as this was us when DS was little. (He's a senior in college now). Then at the end, we were both disappointed...of course fathers need to be made to look that way. Misandry for the win.

Omg seriously

The timing could not have been any worse on that one...

Seriously, they haven't been so out of touch since that time they forced their album onto everyone's iPhone. That album still finds a way to creep onto my phone every time I get a new one!

My favorite was Miles Teller and his wife dancing to the hold music on her phone. It was incredibly understated for a Budweiser commercial.

I liked that one too! Very understated for the Super Bowl. Still not gonna drink Bud Light though.
