And then got swept up in the suburban hysteria about “crime.” Santos won the redder Long Island precincts of his district by 10 points. Suozzi screwed the Democrats by thinking he had a chance at the nomination for governor — not that Hochul isn’t an abomination: |

His birth certificate wouldn’t establish if his parents were citizens or legal permanent residents. Nevertheless, given the fact Santos apparently never makes any sort of reference specifically to his father other than hard-working immigrant generalities, it’s not unreasonable to think his father may not have had legal status. Heck, it’s not even know whether his father is alive and still living in the US. His father isn’t mentioned in any way in the obituaries for his mother. Maybe his dad abandoned the family and there are issues, or maybe there’s an effort to not draw attention to an issue like immigration status. |
