Nevertheless, given the fact Santos apparently never makes any sort of reference specifically to his father other than hard-working immigrant generalities, it’s not unreasonable to think his father may not have had legal status. Heck, it’s not even know whether his father is alive and still living in the US. His father isn’t mentioned in any way in the obituaries for his mother. Maybe his dad abandoned the family and there are issues, or maybe there’s an effort to not draw attention to an issue like immigration status. [/quote]
