Head scratcher is schools like Bullis with multiple impressive juniors and senior committs who can’t play together to beat weak teams. You don’t get recruited by playing alone trying to force it through 3 defenders. Some kids never learn. Coaches have to enforce smart play or bench the ball hogs. Nothing changes cause they don’t. |

| you see it in travel too. girls just want to show off and don't play like a team. sadly many coaches just watch it happen root problem there to fix but good luck. |

| It drives me nuts as a parent to see all the “me ball” out there. If you have an open teammate closer to the goal, pass it. Plain and simple. This is what separates good teams from average teams. Coaches need to cut it out immediately. The kids learn it in rec. when everyone drops the ball, but it needs to be corrected before high school once kids can pass and catch. |

| We’ve been thru the recruiting process. I asked an ivy coach whether they are impressed by ball hogs. “We see right through it,” she said. It was such an awesome thing to hear. |

Hope the message gets to the current sophomores and freshmen. A lot of them need to hear it. |

If that’s how they play the game there’s no coaching them down from it. They won’t get the coaching looks they think they deserve, and they’ll be left at the end wondering what happened. And they’ll blame others for why it didn’t go their way. |
