This is why most people wear tights or stockings…particularly with fancy dresses.

I love the fun vibe with the sneakers, but her legs are distracting. Fun tights would have improved the look.

Disagree. Young kids should have legs that look like they play outside. No 14 yo wants to go out on a warm night in a cute dress, sneakers, and…stockings.

You might if you knew your picture was going to go across the globe

Or if you were raised with class.

I’ve always worn tights or stockings for dressy events. Naked legs look weird unless you are wearing a legit sundress or have spray tan perfect legs. For an evening event, you dress up your legs. It’s a fashion miss.

The first time I read this I felt angry. How dare you want to try to impose your very out-dated and just plain wrong standards of false perfection on someone else’s child? Shiloh looked happy, appropriate, and comfortable— just what most of us would want for our children.

I read your words again, and I felt sad. Maybe some long-ago intern’s flip and misogynistic words in the pages of a no-longer published magazine made you feel less-than: made you doubt that your uncovered legs were beautiful and strong, made you think that spraying your natural skin with noxious colored paint was somehow necessary for you to be acceptable, or made you believe that you were not Enough if you were allowed to publicly enjoy your own body or even your own version of joy.

Often, people who use words like “class” aspire more to visions from crumpled magazines than to values like kindness, independence and growth. The only “miss” here, PP, is yours. Perhaps we all could learn something about how to appreciate ourselves from these images of Shiloh.

If your kid wears a formal dress with naked legs, that’s fine.

If you are a celeb walking the red carpet with photogs, you’d think you would put your best foot forward—for yourself and your kid.

There are millions of dcum fashion threads re: bare legs. For some, it’s generational. For others, it’s dependent on the formality of the dress and the shoe style.

For some of us, we were raised by women who adhered to certain constructs. FWIW, “class” doesn’t equate to money for me. Go read one of the many fashion threads on east coast money/old money and you’ll see that lots of people aspire to dress classy regardless of their income.

Bottom line: very few people have perfect legs, and tights/stockings typically improve the overall look.

- Thank you for the suggestion, but I doubt that reading threads written by people who “aspire to dress classy” will be something that I’d find sufficiently persuasive.

So who IS attractive? Oh, wait - nevermind...we already know you didn't mean Maddox or Pax

Maddox and Pax are both quite attractive.

Please, they are average, at best, especially Maddox.
In a few years Shiloh will be one of the most beautiful women in the world. Just like her mom used to be.

Yes Shiloh has that je ne sais quoi. The others are all quite forgettable.

I think Shiloh, Zahara, Pax, and Knox are all gorgeous with beautiful bone structure. Shiloh has the tall willowy gene, too. Maddox is attractive and has a nice smile. The little girl is at an awkward age, too soon to say, but could also wind up being a beauty.

Meh. Angelina was very pretty. The most beautiful women in the world, if there is such a thing, are probably not known to any of us. Don't forget, most of the greatest supermodels have sisters. Some have identical twins. The fact that they opted not to model and are anonymous doesn't make them less beautiful than their famous sisters.
Everyone here is just so simple minded.

I don't think its necessarily about looks, all the kids are lovely in their own ways, but in family photos, Shiloh is the one that stands out to me. The eye is drawn to her, but not to the others.

+1 I'd say those are exactly the last people to look for guidance from. Have some confidence.

Knox too. He seems like he will be very striking.

Nice outfits all the way around, I think. Zahara stands out nicely — with her dress and braids, but they all look like they’re enjoying this, with each family member expressing their own individual tastes.

Everyone here is just so simple minded.

What are you ranting about? Look at Giselle Bundchen or Christy Turlington or Sandra Bullock’s siblings.

Just goes to show. It's all nature, not nurture.

I'm white and don't know the difference between any of the white kids in the picture either.
