We know from press that he is not allowed to be alone at any time, staff take turns staying up all night and sitting with him so he is not unaccompanied in any room. I wonder if the smell is from refusal to bathe, he may not want to have help and resents the constant presence.

Where did you see that he is not ever left alone? Is it nursing staff with him? He often looks wobbly and is probably in danger of falling in the bathroom. The smell is probably a combination of incontinence and POTUS deference.

But the point is that his dementia is too advanced for him to be POTUS.
