Basically she's just pointing out that no one should get their news from Candace Owens (and she's right). It's not a commentary on the case but a pretty useful reminder for anyone who wants to seize on the Candace Owens commentary on this situation.

(But also it is killing me that she has said nothing about this situation either way -- what does she think???? I would love her unfiltered opinion on all of it considering her close relationship with Baldoni and Heath and the fact that they discussed ALL of these issues on the podcast at some point -- consent, power dynamics in relationships, how women are treated in media, etc.)

From what I know about Liz Plank, I just don’t think ever going to come out and voice support for Baldoni. I really doubt she has any personal beef with him (or she woulda walked away sooner not waited til the NYT article), but I think her brand of feminism just wouldn’t ever condone any sort of SH retaliation, even if the person was lying about being harassed.

I agree Taylor is likely to be annoyed to be embroiled here. But their friendship l was clearly real due to the fact that she was involved in the movie at all. From what I know about Liz Plank, I just don’t think ever going to come out and voice support for Baldoni. I really doubt she has any personal beef with him (or she woulda walked away sooner not waited til the NYT article), but I think her brand of feminism just wouldn’t ever condone any sort of SH retaliation, even if the person was lying about being harassed.

I like her—I’m not sure it came out right. I just think Baldoni had other options beyond hiring those PR people. And I don’t think she’d ever condone that response to a SH allegation. It’s just my opinion, anyway. I don’t know her personally obviously.

TMZ has connections to all kinds of musicians and artists, even ones you think wouldn't deign to talk to the outlet. Don't get me wrong, I find TMZ heinous in the unethical ways it's reported about sensitive subjects. But the point is TMZ really doesn't make up things wholesale like other rags. It has inside sources and its reports are usually accurate.

I agree Taylor is likely to be annoyed to be embroiled here. But their friendship l was clearly real due to the fact that she was involved in the movie at all. And there is just no way Taylor leaks this type of stuff to the press. She didn’t leak about Karlie etc, it would be entirely out of character. She will say nothing and the proof will be in whether they are seen together. Taylor’s camp is like Beyoncé these days, it doesn’t leak.
