Official Brett Kavanaugh Thread, Part 5

Guess we will see if he still is a ragey drunk or not.

Looks pretty feral there.

There are three branches of government but I tend to divide the legislative into two - House and Senate. One could have argued before today that 2 had hit bottom and two hadn’t. No longer. Today all four have. Senate just as bad as House now. And Kavanaugh Kourt will be even worse.

From what I've read and NPR interviews, he's conducted himself extremely well as a circuit judge for 10+ years.

So I guess that negates his questionable finances, his lying under oath, his hyper-partisan ways as a political hack in the Bush administration, his nasty prurient inquiries into Vince Foster's suicide and the Clinton-Lewinsky affair, his brutish, drunken frat bro college years, and waving his dong in the face of a woman and other youthful loutish indescretions.

See, young men, you too can act like a dick through your teens and twenties but as long as you clean up nicely you'll go far! What goes on at GTP and Yale (and republican administrations) stays at GTP and Yale (and republican administrations).

Boofin Brett told Clueless Collins I will be so just.
But now I'm in the seat for life and all that's in the past.
So chicks and blacks and all those losers kiss my preppy a$$.

From blacking out to donning robes, it it has been quite a ride.
Had to cover up some stuff, and kiss some Trumpy hide.
All the women in my life stuck with me through this noise. And now I can deny them all their right to have a choice.

I drank my way through 25, but always topped my class.
And then I spent a bunch of years exploiting Clinton's past.
Then I helped Bush and my bosses legalize torture.
Then I spent a decade showing I was quite mature.

That's all it took to make it to the nation's highest court;
I almost made it all the way with very strong support.
But then those women spoke up; I was close to falling short.
Now I will have the last laugh - shredding modern rights for sport.

Swing and a miss.

Support G. Prep across the board!

You have got to hope that the negativity he arouses in soooooo many people must bounce karmalike back to him. I'd hate to live with that degree of stench around me, would want to rectify it. Maybe the Jesuits can get to him and educate him as they obviously missed the mark the first goaround at GPrep.

Cryin' Kavanaugh has a 31% approval rate.

Congrats, you destroyed SCOTUS.

Here's a newsflash - Supreme Court justices aren't elected, thus "approval rates" really don't apply to them.

But politics does affect them, much as they want you to think it doesn't.

And it affects our country. How can a country hold together when we have no respect for any branch of government.

I'm more worried about people not having respect for differing views and opinions. Civility, respect and decorum are absent from our society. Both partie's are to bame.

No, both parties don't share equally in the blame. Lee Atwater, Ronald Reagan, Newt Gingrich and those Republicans who followed his path, as well as Donald Trump and his ugly populism are really the ones to blame.

Look up Atwater -- he really helped rachet up the ugliness: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee_Atwater

Look up what Republicans did to their own, with regard to McCain's adopted daughter. They are brutal nasty people.

Blaming both parties isn't going to cut it anymore. The civility is gone because we have two fundamentally opposing value systems fighting for control. When your fundamental values are at stake, you get angry. Now is not a time to be civil. Now is a time to decide what your values are. Other than civility itself, which everybody values but can only be achieved when there is consensus on fundamentals.

Then why is Robers sitting on more than a dozen complaints against him?
