Because now you know that having good attack, middie and goalie play will help your team? Quite a revelation.

Exactly. Make saves, score goals, clear the ball and you're in business.

Yes, Madison has a sophisticated strategy of trying to score more goals than its opponent does, don't tell anyone.

Tough to win games when you don’t score more than your opponent. Some say it’s never been done.

I can actually see what the poster is referring to. There were a couple of key nuggets in the Madison parent take on the game. WP had a good gameplan.

Absolutely. I don’t sense any snark just a bit of humor in how doing the little and simple things well goes a long way.

Dodge well, shoot well, clear well and save well isn't really a game plan.

Yeah, and while I love the idea that coaches are scouring DC Urban Moms for coaching tips, you know that every team's game film is available on NFHS, right?

West Springfield vs Yorktown
Independence vs Herndon
Westfield vs McLean
Madison vs West Potomac
Lake Braddock vs South Lakes

A bit of Patriot District intrigue tonight as we find out more about whether West Springfield is for real and get another look at WP against good competition. Who is playing for 2nd behind Robinson in that district?

WEDNESDAY PREDICTIONS

Human:

West Springfield vs Yorktown - Yorktown by 5
Independence vs Herndon - Independence by 9
Westfield vs McLean - McLean by 2
Madison vs West Potomac - Madison by 8
Lake Braddock vs South Lakes - Lake Braddock by 8

LaxNumbers (revised):

West Springfield vs Yorktown - West Springfield by 2
Independence vs Herndon - Independence by 10
Westfield vs McLean - McLean by 2
Madison vs West Potomac - Madison by 9
Lake Braddock vs South Lakes - Lake Braddock by 6

Will we see some offensive explosions based on how two of the games last night went? Was last night a warm up for Independence or could they be tired somehow from all that scoring?

Human got Yorktown right, but under on the margin. LaxNumbers totally wrong
Human got the exact margin, LaxNumbers was one off.
Same guesses
Both got right result, off on the margin
Both got the result, LaxNumbers closer but not actual margin.

Seems the schedule rating is definitely a more clear predictor of the bigger margin victories.

Oakton have any chance tonight vs. Robo?

I don’t see Oakton staying within 10.

It’s also possible that Yorktown is a lot better than they showed against Robo and Madison

I think Madison and Robinson had good defensive solutions to deal with #3 from YT.
