Fairfax County Double Murder

Anonymous
Does Descano not want justice for the victims?

Of course he would be appearing to engage in life saving behaviors in front of LE, whether he killed Christine or not. Yet, they still were quite suspicious.

The motions hearing may not get coverage it being a holiday week & spring break for many. If the prelim is delayed again won't have any info unless some intrepid DCUM can swing by the Fairfax courthouse and look at the pleadings.

Cheating isn’t the same as murder something isn’t adding up, right.
If my wife was murdered, I would be screaming from the rooftops that I wanted justice- unless there is a reason that you don’t
…. That poor little girl.

We don't know what he has said privately, posters here may not be credible.

We know he initially refused to speak with LE, that was reported. We don't know if he has subsequently sat for interviews.

Screaming from the rooftops is not necessarily credible, look at OJ.

If BB planned this and is involved, I hope the victims will get justice and he will not get away with it.

We are not. Many of us in the community are saddened and actively following this thread. We see the mom walking the dog. We are not lying. We are troubled a double murder occurred in our community. We pray for justice. We are a quiet community and it’s troubling to see these Dateline headlines hit our neighborhoods. It’s tragic as it’s been more than one year since this double murder happened. We want justice.

Justice was served thoroughly. His wife’s murderer is dead. You c#nts are on a witch hunt.

Shouldn't your ire be directed to the Commonwealth of Virginia rather than the neighbors?

Calling derogatory names like that is chauvinistic. Shame on that poster. The post was clarifying that neighbors are concerned and following this thread. No need to viciously attack neighbors for wanting justice for the two murders.

Neighbor here. We all just want to move on from this tragedy. Whether BB is found guilty or innocent, all we hope is for this case to be resolved and for the little girl to get the best possible support she can receive after the verdict.

I think most of the people posting in the thread claiming to know any of the people involved are lying.

FWIW I think the mom is currently living with them to provide childcare… which makes sense since their old childcare is in jail.

Childcare? He has no job!

I don't think he was a particularly involved parent & there's no reason to think not having a job would change that.

I know him, and he’s always been a doting parent with his kid, even before. He cooks, teaches her, and has always taken very good care of her. She’s very well taken care of and is a smart happy child despite everything that has occurred

Dad of the year for sure. Having his poor kid live in the house where her mother was stabbed to death, and upgrading her babysitter to Mommy 2.0.

I had an Au pair. The idea that upon my death, my husband would move her into our master bedroom and have a relationship with her - and you think this is fine and dandy for a kid - is insane.

Since you know them so well - is the daughter able to see her maternal extended family? Why or why not?

They no longer have a working relationship due to the investigation, how can you if you even have a hint of suspicion he may have killed your daughter? Plus the affairs make everyone look bad.

For the record, I don’t believe that either of them is guilty of anything more than self-defense. I’ve seen the police report where it states that Brendan was found performing life-saving techniques when police arrived. Christine reached the hospital alive. And other NPI will come out during the prelim hearings.

FCPD has apparently spent millions of dollars on this case, and it has become political. Steve Descano, is apparently applying pressure on the prosecutors to justify the expense. Those are just rumors I’ve heard.

Alive does not mean conscious, alert and talking. It means a heartbeat. They would have not hung up on 911 and let her bleed out if they weren’t in some part guilty. Then he refused to cooperate with police. So he gave performative CPR after letting her bleed out. What a hero.

He was too busy moving AP into his master bedroom to play new mommy. How convenient they killed her in a guest bedroom.

Calm down, Mrs. Banfield. Your son can still write you letters from jail.

I don't think BB has a soul on this planet by his side besides big mama.

I assume he's hired competent counsel. No doubt his lawyers have told him to stfu and not say a word to anyone. BB is an imbecile who botched the murder of his wife and an innocent man.

I wonder, when the rubber meets the road, if BB will plea out to avoid the death penalty.

Prison is a hard place for a former LEO.

Dude had it all, beautiful house, great job, wife and girlfriend without even leaving the house.

Wonder if the motions hearing this morning will get any coverage? Also wonder if it will further delay the preliminary hearing on 4/1?

Reporter who has posted in thread, do you know of anyone covering the hearing today?

The motion is probably to delay again… Just my guess. Will know here within the hour. I actually reached out to the Washington Post reporter who was originally covering this, and she didn’t really seem interested in any of the motions, etc. She basically told me I could go to the courthouse and look at the documents.

It is hard to fathom. He seems to have had a need to prove he is the smartest bear in the room and he did not want to share his $. He and Christine had known one another since teens.

Her lawyer is doing a decent job, assume his is competent too. The Mark Winger case took years to prove but they got him in the end. Hoping for justice for Christine and Joe.

My guess as well.

I think the hope that she would flip is almost gone now.

The motions don't matter all that much, the preliminary hearing will get coverage, whenever it happens, and much more information will be laid out re: the state's case.

The motion for today shows as continued but the preliminary hearing has NOT been continued. So, may be going forward on 4/1. A lot of the Commonwealth's case will be laid out, I am fairly certain that will get some media coverage.
