One, yes, you are correct, you spelled it wrong he second time. Two, my initial comment still stands, no decent teacher or parent would consider Gillion (not "Gillon" as you spelled it in that sentence) to be "very serious on the academic side." It is simply less of a joke academically than the St. James. Three (not third as you wrote it), you are actually correct - it doesn’t make any sense to compare Gillion to Sidwell, or any Academy to a traditional school as it is a joke. Four, there appears to be something wrong with your caps lock key. It is either that, or, like a child, you choose to write in all caps for emphasis. |
That you cannot refrain from using expletives frankly demonstrates that the prior poster is correct. Your kid clearly crawled out of a gene puddle. |
Actually, recent studies show higher IQ and more successful people use expletives. Cleveland Clinic has an extensive study on it. I assume you are too f**king lazy to research the issue however. |
This is a thread on St James Academy…a sports academy. Why are you even commenting? It’s as though you don’t understand the topic at hand. |
Actually that’s not what the study showed. Sweet comment though. |
The projection in your comments is staggering. It’s pathetic you lack the self-awareness to realize it. |
Again…why are you here on a thread discussing a sports academy (where we all know the parents prioritize sports over academics) and blathering about parents that prioritize academics over athletics? That’s like arguing on a Julliard thread that parents should prioritize academics over a kid who focuses on the arts. |
That’s not a lie. I challenge you to find a WCAC basketball team that does not have a reclass. If you look at schools like PVI or Dematha, I would guess about 70% of the team has reclassed. And idk if I would consider a birthday after August 1st as late. |
I’m not the poster you are talking to, but I have kids who are very good athletes. They are also good students and I certainly don’t prioritize sports over academics. Academics are first in my household. |
The OP asks if the St. James is actually a school. That’s what the thread is about. The blathering about redshirting is off-topic. |
The reclassing/redshirting was mentioned because atleast one poster said the school was for kids to reclass and kids only go there to reclass and they leave afterward. |
Again...nobody is claiming SJA is where you send your kids if you prioritize Academics over Sports. The question is does it meet any standards for educating your kid. |
It meets the standards you will get at your basic online school |
Which is to say, it has no standards at all. |
Didn’t realize that there were people out there who prioritized sports over academics for their kid. |
