You think that's the worst thing people can do to their kids?

So question: I don’t follow this woman at all but know who she is. She legitimately was born in Spain, though to two non Spanish parents who were on sabbatical there, and vacationed there every summer. She is Spanish since she was born there and I don’t really get an accent when I hear her speak. What is she faking?

She may or may not have been born there. She was born during her moms Christmas break of a second year of medical school in Boston when the finals were after the break so it seems unlikely she would’ve been born in Spain it’s certainly possible, esp if she came early. I think she is 5’3 and small boned so maybe she was a preemie indeed.

Also I have friends who were born in Hong Kong and Cairo but raised here. It doesn’t mean they are natives of HK/ China. Hillary was born with that name, and raised in Boston. They vacationed a lot in Spain and she learned the language.

All 4 of her grandparents were born in the US and are of English/ Welsh/ potentially french ancestry.

She was born Hillary
She is white but darkened her skin
She has bribe hair but dyed n it black
She lied at said all of her “relatives from Spain” were at her wedding.
She pretended English was her second language when it was her first.
She also omits information - lies bh omission -
She has posed on the cover of Hola magazine
She has not corrected a million publications for sayjnfb her mom isn’t Spanish, as they all print
She took her parents ideas and made. A book o it of them
She “likes” every commenter on her Instagram who says either her being pretty or some aspect of her is due to her being “Latinall- which she isn’t
There is more but weirdly enough I’m not expert. I just stumbled upon this thread, was intrigued, and clicked on links to verify it all
There is more but that is enough

Spain doesn't have birthplace citizenship. It's by descent only. Even if she was born there, she isn't Spanish under Spanish law.

There seems to be more ways than 1 to get Spanish citizenship. It's not just a birthright. Am I misunderstanding? If you have a residency permit you can apply for citizenship in 10, 2 or 5 years depending on circumstances. Its possible her parents have satisfied this.

Her parents moved there in 2011, the same year she met Alec... so, nope.

Did you even read it? You were so sure you had to be born there. You are uninformed.

Born in Spain. Parents on sabbatical. Summer vacations.

All up for debate. You can look back through this thread to see why. Or you could google her given name, Hilary Hayward-Thomas.

Her omissions and insinuations are subtle. And if you don’t follow her, you might not find her to be particularly deceptive.

But if you know, you know.

No sabbatical . She was born during Christmas break of her mother’s second year or led school at BU. So maybe in Spain sure but also maybe not and certainly she wasn’t there for more than week or so as a baby

She passes none of those requirements. Gee, you are uniformed.

It's also irrelevant. You don't start SUDDENLY HAVING AN ACCENT when you are raised in the US when your mom was a med student and resident, and then dyeing your hair black, changing your name, and darkening your skin when you suddenly meet a famous person who loves Latin women. It IS ALL preposterous because SHE is preposterous.

Celebs have messed up kids and lives. And water is wet. The kids will probably self medicate with drugs like loads of other celebrity offspring. Nothing new.

You’re an asshole. No one said it’s the “worst thing” you can do to your kids. Read or leave the thread.
