Hello,
My child won't be in a charter for before and aftercare but she will be in DCPS at Logan - Cap Hill Montessori. They do not offer DC Aftercare for All, they are using a private provider - Springboard Aftercare. It is $359 per month for before and aftercare together. If you choose to separate its $109 for before care and $269 for aftercare per month. I haven't seen lunch prices or PTA dues yet but this school is starting to cost a small fortune. |
|
EL Haynes - $75/week for aftercare, and I think $40/week for before care.
Lunch - $3/day? We don't use aftercare and pack in lunches, although the school lunch doesn't look too bad. |
| KIPP - No before care and $50/week for after care M - F or $25 for Fridays only. You only pay for the times you use it, so no monthly payment is due unlike the lunch program. |

Our foster daughter will be going to Pre-K 3 at Eagle Academy Public Charter School (8th & M Sts., SE) and before-care costs $125/mo. and after-care costs $125/mo. We'll be doing both.
Our foster son will be going to Kindergarten at Brent Elementary School and that cost is still unknown. |
| cap city is $200 per month, including the early release day. excellent program. |
| WYY aftercare is $415. Extras, such as youth orchestra, soccer and math science are an additional $40 each. Before care is $9 drop-in or $175 monthly. It is expensive. A reduced fee is available to those eligible for FARMS |
| So why is Yu Ying twice as much as Cap City? |
| Mundo Verde---before care, aftercare, plus lunch (full week) will cost $600 a month--, plus kids have to wear school tshirts everyday--- shirts costs $8 each---reduced rates are available for all items if FARM eligible.... |
They are also charging a sliding scale fee that would be approx. $350 a month for full week before care, aftercare plus lunch for families that don't qualify for FARM but can't afford the full rate. |
What is the income cutoff for getting the $350 rate? Thanks. |
