This is the thing that kills me the most. The moment Ford came forward, he should have stepped down. What kind of man does this to his wife and his daughters? HIS DAUGHTERS?!?!?!?! If he becomes scotus, they are destroyed. If he doesn't become scotus, they are destroyed. But if he had quit before Ford's testimony: he could have saved them. The lack of fatherly ethics is astounding. |
you should watch the whole day. I don't think you watched it. |
There’s so much focus on everything else that I feel like the obvious conclusion is being glossed over. Kavanaugh has a drinking problem and can’t recall whether he did this or not because he seriously doesn’t remember. I also find it extremely hard to believe that he and Judge were very close and had the same social habits, Judge nearly died from alcoholism, and Kavanaugh didn’t have even a minor drinking problem. |
Yes. They likely will. |
LOL it’s seems to be on both sides. |
Where have you been? He went the whackadoodle approach. That is Trump's style and Trump gets accused of early onset dementia and snorting ritalin. There was a risk with the whackadoodle approach, but he took it and now he gets the results of it. |
I don't trust "fathers" that are so willing to gamble with their family's privacy this way. He knew what he was doing. He knew he had a history (his best friend wrote books about it and he praised said books) and he still decided this was best. Best for him-- maybe. Best for his family? Eff no. And you can think all you like about people making accusations: but any man who would expose his family to this kind of vitriol is not a man. He's a monster. |
Tweet from Rand Paul:
Yesterday there was an attempt to incite people by publishing the personal information of Senators - including home addresses- endangering them & their families. This should be investigated & the perpetrators punished. There is too much hatred and violence in politics these days. |
Gaslighting 101. |
What, exactly, is your issue? That you can't stand to hear the other side of an argument? How were the Republicans supposed to know about this allegation that Feinstein sat on? Telepathy? |
It's bullshit partisan political tactics that should be thrown out of the court of consideration. Twenty years ago I might have given the accusations more weight, today when someone can become a hero to a cause with unsubstantiated claims not so much. |
It will be interesting to hear the results of the FBI investigation, won't it? Especially when they determine that he is an innocent man. Will you come back to apologize? Rhetorical question, btw. |
Rhetorical, because he is not an innocent man. |
What are you blabbering about? Had the Republicans been notified of the allegations, none of this would have had to happen. They could have investigated, found out whether there was any truth to them, and moved on. This entire process has been tainted by the actions of the Democrats. We won't forget about this at the polls next month. |
A) I'm a moderate, although probably more left-leaning than you. B) I never said he was guilty. I said he was accused. Trying reading, not assuming. I did say he was a liar, and I'll stand by that. His answers were evasive and he lied about meanings of things to avoid looking bad. I said he is an entitled prick, and I stand by that. His way of evading direct, yes-no questions was to go on and on about his academic record and that he went to Yale Law School. Those things don't make you a good, honest person. He is accomplished, but accomplished people can be assholes, can break the law, can commit sexual assault. I said he is an asshole, and I stand by that. No one who rants about conspiracies and revenge for the Clintons (!!!WTF) should be confirmed to a lifetime appointment on the Supreme Court. He is unfit, regardless of whether the allegation is true or not. YOU are convinced he is innocent based SOLELY on his testimony. It is NO DIFFERENT than anyone on this thread who says he is guilty based solely on her testimony. This was no trial. There was no opportunity for corroboration or evidence to be presented. It was only testimony by the two people. You are the one who is absurd. Get off your high horse. And if he is innocent, as he says, he should not be afraid of an FBI investigation. |
