Lynne did not get the majority of votes. A majority of votes means greater than 50%. The are effectively tied.

Lynne got the plurality of the votes, not the majority.

Jill Ortman-Fouse was a board member until 2018 when she ran for County Council and didn't make it through the primary. She is frequently accused of being a malevolent puppetmaster who runs Montgomery County behind the scenes by certain right-wing accounts on social media.

Montoya is limited. She wants the board experience to get into further politics. Her own school parents say she has not been effective.
