So why wouldn't she cooperate? She already agreed to ride in a car with William to their two separate engagements/appointments. Why not seal the deal with a full-face picture, no need even to smile at her husband, just show us she's recovering?

Bargaining chip. She's not going to fully cooperate until she gets what she's gunning for.

I don’t think Kate is bipolar. I think she may be struggling with circumstantial depression or may be doing objectively fine but going through something very difficult in her marriage and she is, as others have said, not appearing as a bargaining chip.

Perhaps she’s unwell mentally akin to Britney at the moment. Nothing makes sense to us that makes sense to her.

Bipolar sets in at much younger ages. She was seen in public in late December, interacting with the public, etc. I do not genuinely believe that it was Catherine editing the photo. Gullible much?
