Oh, please. TBH I think it’s possibly a side effect of enrolling more kids from less privileged backgrounds. Princeton is the Ivy League leader in providing no strings aid but being first generation or from a low income family makes an elite Ivy environment that much more challenging. Especially if you are not as well prepared as classmates from elite prep schools. It can be an alienating and stressful experience.

Sidwell and NCS/STA kids find Princeton a cakewalk compared to their workload in high school.

6 GDS kids to Harvard. 14 total to Ivies and that’s just those who have posted since yesterday. Multiple at UChicago, Emory, UCLA, etc. They are doing well.
