Or at least, you could be a mom. You're 30-ish, blonde, driving a black Merc wagon MD plate MR?-???. Yes I got your full plate. I also got a real good look at you in my mirror as you came up about 8 inches behind me. You tailgated me on Willard SB, jammed your way past on the right, then tailgated another car and then drove in the oncoming lane on River WB, then turned left at Little Falls about 45 minutes ago.
You really need to get some help or something before you cause a tragic and not fixable accident. |
| Have some wine? And let it go? Please? For your sake and everyone elses? Thank you. |
What?? Why should she let it go? Drivers like that are a problem. OP's reaction to it is not the problem! OP, I'm with you. |
| OP, maybe you are a crap driver too. Based on your post, it certainly sounds possible. You however are lucky that no one who you have pissed off is lame enough to post about your horrible driving on a public web site. On the other hand, while you may always abe terrible driver, the woman you are referring to here may have been having some type of crisis and this was a once-in-a-lifetime poor driving day on her part. Who really knows? All the rest of us know for certain is that you are an a$$hat for writing this post. |
| Obviously a couple of really aggressive drivers responding defensively to this post. |
You're really having a strong reaction to the OP's post. Is it because you drive in such a manner that your tag could be posted on the wall of shame? |
|
Yes, in all probability this driver and others of her ilk often speed to appointments. It is practically never a "one time event" because once you speed, you get used to it unless you have an accident. She will get hurt and hurt others one day.
Sad, but unless caught by police or radar, what can you do? |

I think the post is in poor taste. Let it go. It seems a little crazy to post this type of crap and include the person's tag information.
Not excusing the bad driving. Just addressing the need to dwell. |
I cannot stand being tailgated when i have my 2 small kids strapped in their carseats. It really bothers me. How can people take the safety of others on the road into their own hands like that, as if where they're going is more important than the safety of people they share the road with? Supremely selfish. |
| OP, I hate aggressive drivers like that. It's just not safe. |
Uh...no. OP is not an asshat. Posting this little rant potentially hurts no one. Drivers like the one OP is talking about cause accidents that can maim or kill people. They are the asshats. Unfortunately, when confronted, lousy drivers never think, "Gee, you're right. I'm a danger to myself and others. Maybe I should stop being a selfish asshat." Instead, they respond pretty much like this PP. |
You can call the non-emergency police and give them a report of what happened and the tag number. If they feel it was aggressive driving they will send a warning letter stating that someone reported them as an aggressive driver. If she were to cause some type of accident it would be on file that she was previously reported as an aggressive driver. |

Funny how a few digits off the license plate causes such a conversion in the otherwise perpetually critical DCUM community.
It seems that if anonymity is the source of DCUM's power, then publicity is its kryptonite. |

God forbid anyone get within a mile of your car because your children happen to be riding in it. You're probably the one swerving into another lane because you keep turning around to check on your precious children. |
| OP, I think that you should report it to the non-emergency line. I hate aggressive drivers--and the people who defend them are equally stupid. |
