You can call the non-emergency police and give them a report of what happened and the tag number. If they feel it was aggressive driving they will send a warning letter stating that someone reported them as an aggressive driver. If she were to cause some type of accident it would be on file that she was previously reported as an aggressive driver.

Really? Apologies for sounding rude, but is this true or are you assuming/ hoping it is the case? If it's accurate, I will definitely start reporting more aggressive drivers. To date, I haven't bothered, because I assume the police would brush me off, or legitimately not be able to do anything on my word alone.

Here's the link to a program in the DC metro area on aggressive driving:

OP you are doing a great public service. I would encourage everyone to take pictures of the car post them here. At the very least give us part of their tag description to out them. Thank you.

I'm glad you posted OP. Come back and post one more digit of this license plate on the black MERCEDES from Bethesda.

While I agree that aggressive drivers are annoying, pls don't try to correct them by going slow, slamming on breaks etc. More accidents are caused this way. Get out of their way and make a report.

I didn't see the consequences anywhere on this site. Yes, there's information on how to report aggressive drivers, but no mention of what happens. Just "Each law enforcement agency has specific requirements and procedures for reporting traffic safety violations. It is up to each agency to respond to filed reports."

I would be very surprised if DC law enforcement responded or followed up in any way.

How can people take the safety of others on the road into their own hands like that, as if where they're going is more important than the safety of people they share the road with? Supremely selfish.

God forbid anyone get within a mile of your car because your children happen to be riding in it. You're probably the one swerving into another lane because you keep turning around to check on your precious children.

Funny how you can go after the OP for posting about a bad driver. And yet you can criticize her driving. Even though you have never seen her in person.

Kinda makes you a psychic, a contrarian, and a hypocrite all in two sentences. Good work!

If this really happened that sucks but a few things.

1) I have called the non emergency number in MD for a lunatic that ran me off the road and nothing was done. Chances are nothing will be done unless OP calls and can prove some sort of harrassment, etc. Even in that case I dont think they do anything in MD.

2)I take these posts with a grain of salt. Not calling OP a liar, but sometimes people have bad days and then exagegrate a situation. Obviously by posting on here OP was pissed off and its either justified or she is irrational and a very angry person. Hard to tell sometimes so again, I take it with a grain of salt unless it happened directly to me.

I think you should report it, as well. For all you know the woman was high on booze or drugs.

I did this when we lived in Maryland quite a few years ago because I called from my car at the time of the incident. This is what they told me they would do. I also did once in NoVa knowing what they did in Maryland and the lady took down the information and said they would send out a letter to them also. So, while I can't guarantee they will do something, they have always claimed they would when I called.

What does it matter whether we believe it or not? Clearly it could be true, it could be false. But I don't see any reason why OP would care what we think. She's not posting to get an opinion or some sort of validation. She wants to call out this driver, and there is some small chance that the message will reach her.

And again... the point of my post was that she could be trying to get validation for her thoughts on what happened, but the truth is no one should be getting up in arms about the situation because it may not have happened that way. Maybe the woman cut her off but its nothing like OP said, and then OP got mad. People lie for attention, not saying OP did but who knows.

Some posters are freaking out on here, and OP could be totally in the wrong and just pissed off. So there is not need for posters to entice OP for the womans license plate number when the entire situation could be skewed. Again, thats why I took it with a grain of salt.

Calm down, my post made alot of sense. No need to be pissy.
