Missing person in DC

Posting for a friend of a co-worker. Matt is 26 years old. He is 6'2" and about 185 pounds. He is a minister working with Campus Outreach at George Washington University in DC. He disappeared on the morning of May 24, 2011. His last known whereabouts were about 10:30AM in Chinatown by DC. Foul play is suspected.

I"m a Christian myself but I have to agree with the very few "mean" people on that page.
This guy turned his phone off and disappeared. He must come out and give an explanation to his church, the community and family/friends. 4K was raised to fund the search of a guy who was never missing... he owes them an explanation. To his mother at least for god's sake!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Is there a missing link to "mean" people that I don't get? Actually I don't get any of this. From my perspective, a young (but grown!) man goes off for a few days, people get scared, they raise money for his return, then he is found safe. And instead of being thankful people are sniping at him? Good god, think about yourself for a moment, you would rather have heard that he'd been harmed, or that something was done to him, than to hear that he's totally safe but you were worried for no reason. Wow, how inconvenient for you! Worried for no reason! Gee, it would have been much better for you than he'd been harmed. BTW, don't know him. But once again I'm completely repulsed by the thread of hate that runs through human beings. He owes YOU nothing. I'm sure he will explain to his friends and family in due time, but if he does not, that's fine too. He's not someone's puppet, is he? Don't get this at all. |

It's been several years but I read recently that investigators got some new info on the Fleischman case - apparently a cab driver remembers picking him up after 3am and taking him to a transitional (and easily dangerous at that hour of the night) neighborhood. Cell tower records confirm that he was in that area at the time. The case is going to be featured on a special soon - I think hosted by Natalee Hollaway's mother? |
