It looks terrible. With all that money looks like she dyes it at home. Their mother daughter dynamic reminds me of Absolutely Fabulous. I think she will most likely have a ‘glow up’ in a couple of years.

By all accounts, Ben is very involved father. Say what you will about his issues but you can't say he doesn't care about his children.

Just not enough to remain sober or faithful to their mother. What a guy! Just who I want as the father of my kids!

Alcoholism is an addiction and it runs in families. It is well known that he dad was an alcoholic too. Given that he is in Hollywood where the temptation and ease to obtain anything he wants, the fact that he is trying to be sober is quite a challenge. And as far as cheating goes, there were rumors about both Jen Garner and Ben being cheaters at one time or another. They both still seem like they care about their kids.

NP. I'm sure he cares about his kids, but so do a lot of people....not really a selling point. I wouldn't group him with other alcoholics trying to get better. He also had a terrible gambling addiction. He's dated several early 20s women when he was in his 40s knowing it would go nowhere. He's a celeb that is rarely told no, and rather than use the resources available to him to get help he continues to skate by.

After hearing the interview on Howard Stern, I'm doubtful he is actually sober. Something was off in that interview. It's possible he was slurring his words and talking manically due to prescription drugs that help with other issues he might have, but something seemed off.

^You need to watch that again. He doesn't slur at all in that interview.

He def slurs some of his words. He doesn't sound drunk, but something sounds off. He talks to fast, gets way overheated, goes off on tangents, and his voice sounds weird.

+1 Guys who are running around with other women, in and out of relationships, in and out of rehab, off filming movies in other countries are not "very involved" fathers. They're involved to a limited degree on their own "put myself first" terms.

I doubt it too. He has been looking increasingly unkempt and unwell.

He is consistently inconsistent/and seems to have trouble walking a perverbial straight line for any length if time. She is highly disciplined so I wonder how the hell she can and will bear him long term. She's Uber controlled and he's a mess. She does not drink, he is an alcoholic, she is an avid exerciser, he erratically gets in shape and then gains weight, she uses the media and pr carefully, he often says stupid things, etc. I am genuinely baffled about her judgment here.

She has fantasies....that apparently she cannot and will not give up. I think basically she believes primarily in the power of herself and her will. To perhaps an insane degree that can only exist among someone with her level of money and power. If she envisions it, or wants it, she believes she can have it. His very troubled past and very real issues are secondary to this grandiosity and "faith." I have kind of given up on her, she lives in her own world.

I think her discipline is probably attractive to him. I think his relationship with Jen Garner was similar in that she seems to be a very type A, supermom type. For a messy person like Ben, this is appealing... until it's not. They will probably be lovey-dovey for a couple years and then it will all implode, like it always does (for both of them).

Lay off the kid. I had frizzy hair as a kid, was chubby as a tween and would have been completely mortified to have paparazzi trailing my every move around my famous parents and criticizing my appearance. As if kids don’t have enough pressure to deal with.
