Sad. The two Langley kids had the 9th and 15 highest scores in the entire nation for all 9th graders, yet people here will twist themselves into pretzels justifying why they weren't selected for TJ.

Stop twisting things around - I was responding to your boasting how "White people" have the most pluralistic societies and ignoring the historical context. The new system says that a kid who got As in M7H and half of Algebra I honors with no notable math achievements and a fairly pedestrian math aptitude is equal to a kid who is an AIME qualifier and Mathcounts champ taking Algebra II honors or Pre-Calc honors with As throughout.

With no other factors involved, both kids are equally likely to be picked. If the first kid can check the box for any experience factors, or if the second kid got an A- in a non STEM class, or if the second kid is a bit shyer/less boastful on the essays, the first kid would be ranked higher.

What part of what I said implies I hate this country? Of course the US is an open/accepting society. That's why I'm here. I was just explaining *why* western societies are "open and accepting" (i.e. your ancestors stole my ancestors' wealth. I'm here to collect. You don't have a choice) and when that will stop (when the countries where these folks come from reach a certain level of wealth).

BTW, there aren't enough Black people in Japan to run for office. Probably same in Germany. The UK cabinet does have five members (over 20%) of who are foreign origin (Indian, Pakistani, African)..

However, look at the list of countries which have had substantial immigration from India and their heads of state - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_heads_of_state_and_government_of_Indian_origin.. Mast of these are not 'western' or 'White People' countries..
