Since when? Per CDC guidelines unvaccinated need masks. I didn’t see Northam changed anything about that. |
Outside? |
I guess I have to dig through the many state documents. But, it seems our pool is "private business" and making it a thing. |
Since the mask mandate was dropped. The state guidelines say those who are not vaccinated should[i] wear a mask. I recently attended a webinar that included Olivia McCormick from the VDH. I’m sure others here also attended. She pointed out a few times that “should” is not the same thing as “must”. Here is the link to the webinar: https://zoom.us/rec/play/UJRQSPZL2KpIaBfiQWiCSpn0xv6qAo_caDBpDBN9iFS0RZ8iRZEmihRnNhW2_r1LCBn0nHw8L9gBpHqw.aAsopndUZWPm0cx6 |
| Interesting. I’ve also seen places say “encouraged” which can easily be taken as “optional.” |
| Our pool just dropped the mask mandate for those who are mandated (and said they wouldn't be checking vaccination status, so practically that means no more masks). |
Ours dropped masking and is recommending[i] those who are not vaccinated wear a mask when coming/going or using the restroom. |
+1 at our pool |
Right. I don’t see any reason to be more strict than what the state is requiring. |
| Ours is open at full capacity. Got the email this morning. Will not be going. |
Why? Are you not vaccinated? Personally I would love all the crazy mask people to NOT go to the pool if it makes them uncomfortable. I am vaccinated so I have no worries. My kids are not, but they are outdoors where transmission is very low. I probably will not be allowing them to do indoor playing with other kids for a bit. |

As of next week the only restrictions our pool will have is a 150 capacity limit and no guests.
Fairly certain this is down to the preference of some of the board members rather than any genuine COVID concerns. |
A voice of reason. Many vaccinated people, unfortunately, do not understand how their vaccines work. So they continue to wear masks because they believe they can still get the disease and die, or that they can spread it. Neither is true. |
| No guests, no parties, but no capacity restrictions or reservations for members. Seems ok. Masks required in restrooms. |
| No restrictions. We are allowing guests and party reservations. We need the $. |
