When is the principal retiring? This is news to me!
|
In the past, they allowed entry in 1st and 2nd from the wait list. After 2nd, the child needed to be fluent or near fluent. I believe there was a test to determine if the language was not native to the child. |
She retired as of last Friday. |
Thank you for this. DS is in lessons three afternoons per week. He's Pre-k now, and will have three years of study by the time he starts. Do you think he could pass the test? |
Have no idea. Will he be fluent? |
The teacher says he "should" be, but there's no guarantee. He's also not the talkative type to begin with. I assume he'll be pretty "proficient" and maybe fluent. Does he need to be absolutely fluent? |
Can anyone tell us why Dr. Robyn Hooker quit? |
Try old age. |
No. People aren't allowed to age. Didnt you get the memo. |
She has been retirement eligible for a number oif years. Perhaps as the summer progressed she realized she was dreading the upcoming year instead of looking forward to it. |
I'm sure you haven't aged. ![]() |
I heard there was a meeting last night about the principal's retirement. If anyone went, please provide feedback.
Thanks, |
Have no idea if this applies in FCPS, but sometimes to get the full top of the line retirement benefits you have to retire at a specific time like say July. She already should have qualified for retirement, but maybe there were benefits to waiting. I wish her well in retirement. The woman was a principal at the school for over 3 decades. |
Is there a going-away party? |
The meeting wasn't about her retirement. She's history. The meeting was about the plan forward for KG. |
