It does appear that the games were split W3 L3 GF9 GA13 GD-4 so Loudoun did better than their previous results would have suggested, but "smashed" doesn't seem accurate. I didn't see any of the games so can't comment further on whether the results were deserved or not.

In any event I don't really see how the results are relevant to this thread which is about Loudoun's unethical behavior. As far as I concerned the good thing that happened here is that Arlington received 9 points for three wins for games Loudoun was trying not to play.

I don't get why you are saying that Loudoun is unethical, yes, maybe they were jerks by refusing to reschedule, but I don't think they were unethical. Rescheduling involves securing fields, refs, finding a suitable date to fit with Loudoun schedule. I presume Loudoun teams also have tournaments and I don't think parents or players are eager to play in cold weather in later November or early December. I can understand Arlington's frustration, but I think Loudoun was within its rights not to reschedule. Perhaps next year, Loudoun will have state cup games that conflict with ECNL games against Arlington, if they decide to enter their ECNL teams in the state cup.

wrt to the OP's specific point, if Loudoun had attempted to find refs or secure fields and truly had been unable to do so then I agree it would not be unethical to take the points. However they made no such attempt and instead simply hid behind the letter of the law and I do believe that that is unethical. Also - read the whole thread and others regarding Loudoun's behavior in many circumstances (the club, not the kids or the parents). There is an ugly pattern which emerges.

Whoever is pissed at Loundoun for not accomodating a last minute request to reschedule clearly does not understand how ECNL logistics works and why the ask is totally unreasonable. I am a parent volunteer for ECNL and the logistics are complicated as its full club games with coaches who sometimes have multiple teams. The volume of emails and organizatoin that goes into the schedule that both clubs have already agreed to is already sky high (including refs, medical people etc). Games and coaches are scheduled far in advance and agreed to by both clubs for this reason so everything can be accomodated. I'm sorry but Arlington should not have expected Loundoun to readily agree to reschedule when all the resourcing and efforts had been put to having a game as planned. Why would Arlington believe that Loundoun players/coaches would have been available when Arlington decided they wanted to play. Many players also play other sports or have other activities which they organize around the set ECNL schedule which was scheduled weeks ago. Sorry but it's unreasonable for Arlington to expect a reschedule AFTER the schedule has been approved by BOTH clubs, communicated and organized around. I'd be pissed off if my club reorganized a game I had organized our entire schedule around simply because another club decided they had something else to do. It's a differnet story if its being rescheduled for uncontrollable reasons. But rescheduling and throwing 20 Loundon players/families and a coachs's schedule out the window just to play another game--sorry.

More to the point is that Loudoun made no attempt to try and reschedule. If they had genuinely attempted to accomodate Arlington's request then I would have some sympathy with this position. Or if they had come back and said - well we can move two of the games but not the other two. But Loudoun did not attempt to reschedule or make any effort to help another club and all the players from both clubs. Instead they just rubbed their hands together and said "no - we will make no effort or attempt to reschedule whatsoever - we just want the points". You can claim it's impossible until you're blue in the face. But it isn't impossible at all - as anyone whose kids have played travel soccer in any league for more than a single season knows very well.

No they're not. The dates and times are laid out for the remainder of the fall season - i.e. for the next week and a half. The dates in that schedule typically don't change without clubs making a request which is usually honored (except by Loudoun), but the times are often moved during the week of the game.

The spring season is just placeholders at this point - unless you think the teams will be playing ten consecutive games between Jan 1 and Jan 10 and nothing therafter - and will be adjusted nearer the time.

There were - at one point - several comments (including a couple from coaches) pointing out how commonly games get rescheduled and how clubs and coaches nearly always cooperate to do so.

It's possible I just missed them but as far as I can see those comments appear to have vanished. I assume this is Loudoun coaches getting them deleted in order to control this thread.
