He got a nomination. That, alone, is a great achievement for a young man, and something he should always be proud of. He will be a success at his chosen school, undoubtedly. |
Nope. You need to read up on the process. You are wildly off-base and your post is neither accurate in the least, nor helpful to those who are serious about seeking an appointment. Grenade, indeed!šš„š |
I don't know if a 1250 gives an applicant a "good chance," but the SAT/ACT score is one factor among several other factors considered by military academies, not all of which are factors considered for admission to Williams or Yale. Yes, not all admitted to USNA would be admitted to those schools, but not all admitted to those schools would be admitted to USNA, either. |
| At least you can buy your way into the service academies. |
What do you do for the physical fintness exam? other selection criterion don't seem much different than other highly selective schools. |
It is hugely different. You have to be too physical shape, not just able to pass the exam. You have to be one of the best. You also have to pass a very selective medical exam. Allergies, adhd, anxiety, depression, sports related injuries, all can disqualify you. Betting many young adults at top universities are medicated to cope |
I would be most impressed with MIT Physics or Stanford applied mathematics or even CMU Computer Engineering |
I'm sure shit ton of kids don't have those medical conditions and able to pass the physical exam |
and other schools value leadership and high level of sports |
Odd you choose to resurrect this thread with that statement. Itās not true on this thread either. |
Exactly same for all the other schools with the holistic evaluation |
Iām in the medical field and can tell you Iām sure as sh*t nearly half the kids at top colleges and universities are medicated for anxiety, depression, and/or adhd |
Value maybe, but they are a requirement for a service academy. And their physical requirements are more than āhigh levelā sports. |
so the other 50% would be eligeable which makes it shit ton Peopple here think that being normal healthy is rare commodity lol |
Pretty much every decision in the south is decided on by who youāre related to. Iām sorry if you were a victim of this. Itās a horrible feeling to watch someone less deserving and less qualified get something you worked hard for. Once they get there, they must be awfully surprised that no one cares who their daddy is. |
