I liked The Newsroom and his other stuff in theory, but in practice, it's all soooooo overwritten and preachy that it's almost camp. Heck, it IS camp, but for people who think that they're above camp.

Lord of the Rings/the hobbit.

3 hours of big men and little men doing a bunch of bullshit, and then once in the movie for 5 minutes a fairy woman comes down from the clouds but nothing makes sense.
