Hearst still has students who live out of bounds. If they are getting trailers back - exclude me, “learning cottages” in DCPSpeak — how can they still have places for non-neighborhood student ?!

There are a few OOB students in 4th and 5th, but they will obviously move on to MS soon. Otherwise, there are 30ish OOB students in the autism program. That won’t change, but they do factor into the overall OOB percentage for the school.

It would make sense to zone all of McClean Gardens for Eaton, there’s a lot of kids there. Then Hearst could accept some of the Janney kids.

The new Homeless Shelter at Cathedral Commons is zoned for Eaton.

There are a total of 1500 new units under construction at
the Fannie Mae -Wegmans town center and planned for 4000 Wisconsin Ave next door. The developer is building units of various sizes and citing access to better public schools in the marketing. Which school will these areas, which previously had no residential, be zoned for?

This Thanksgiving our family is thankful for Janney and it’s amazing faculty and community.

I think it’s mostly Hearst, no? Certainly is Deal and Wilson.

+1. Janney is quite precious. We think it’s as good as the sought after private schools for elementary.

I have found murch kids to be really nice. I haven’t heard of bullying at murch. The parents are seem nice, busy people. Definitely not a social climbing environment. I haven’t noticed any cliques.

Murch is a good school, no doubt. But it isn’t quite in the JKLM (Janney-Key-Lafayette-Mann) tier.

Your tiers are off. Mann is not in the same tier with Stoddert and hasn't been for years. I have experience with both schools and Stoddert is way better than Mann.
Key comes after Mann. JKLM is second tier to Ross and Stoddert.

Dream in. Stoddert still has too much OB to be achieve in the first tier.

My child went to a big 3 private for ES. Now at Deal, DC claims the nicest, most authentic kids are from Murch.

Are the other children inauthentic?
