It says a lot that someone so average would even have the gall to apply to Harvard. A true opportunist squeezing every last drop from a local tragedy. And obviously it’s a joke he was admitted.

Serious question: Do you think Trump, Bush Jr., and Kushner should've been admitted to their Ivy League schools? I'd say Hogg has better writing and oratory skills than all three and he hasn't even been to college yet.

Kerry? Gore? Or does your rant only apply to Republicans?

Gore has a Nobel Proze for his work with climate change. And was mocked for being too cerebral during the campaign (who would want to have a beer with him?). He is not an intellectual dunce.

+1. And john Kerry earned a silver star for heroism in Vietnam and speaks multiple languages.

I think it is sweet that so many posters are impressed with Harvard.

A Harvard education is impressive and always will be, PP. Stop pretending it isn’t.

(DP)Nope. I’ve met too many Harvard Alum to believe that nonsense.

To a person - literally EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. - the most significant thing they ever accomplished in life was getting into Harvard as an undergrad. That’s it. They peaked at 17.

Then why does anyone care that Hogg was admitted?

Because EA/ED decisions just came out. Lots of helicopter parents pissed that Hogg was admitted to an Ivy and their kid (obviously much more deserving) was not.

David Hogg was instrumental to a movement that helped get the first new gun control laws passed in Florida in decades. I can’t think of any teenager much more deserving to get into Harvard.

Bush and Kerry got mostly C's in college. Both legacy big time. I agree with those saying David Hogg has distinguished himself on the national stage and got in due to this, not his family ties.

OTOH Laura managed to shut down the government and leave hundreds of thousands of federal workers without a paycheck including the secret service agents protecting the President

She is an obscenity as are the people who believe what she says.

He led. By definition, he is a leader.

It’s so funny to see how this kids success hurts supposedly grown adults. You just can’t help yourselves. Sad!

+1. Harvard is lucky to have David Hogg. He’s done more for humanity at 17 than 99% of these internet bashing trolls will ever do.

I agree! It’s pretty pathetic, really.

Al Gore’s grades at Harvard were “middling” per the Washington Poat in a 2000 article. His board scores were above average. His Nobel Proze was a political decision.

Kerry got Ds at Yale and W’s average was higher by a point. But don’t let facts stand in your way.

Why is a 17 year old’s acceptance into Harvard a 12 page debate?

Congratulation him or move on. So much truly pathetic vitriol for a kid who survived a mass shooting.

Sorry you paid so much in tutoring and SAT prep and in the end your snowflake still didn't get in.
