| F**k the dumb S**t ...I am PREGNANT!!!!FIRST TIME GO AT shady grove....thought it wasnt gonna work cause I didnt feel pregnant ....but shot out to my boy dr. osheroff from the columbia office in maryland |
ummm....congrats? |
There is something wrong with this practice.. Dr Reh is just not skilled enough and dr. Gordon is an As___ . We were misdiagnosed in our 4 cycles. They are just beyond inept. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.. .all they want is your money.

| There is something wrong with this practice (Dominion Fertility is the worst place you can go)... Dr Reh is just not skilled enough and dr. Gordon is an As___ . | Yes agree... Dr. Gordon is beyond arrogant and should not be a doctor. The whole Dominion practice should be under the eyes of the law by now. |
| really? i like Dr Gordon, and thought he was nice, answered my questions well, and gave good advice. I liked that he recommended SET, unlike some other places. Dr. Payson was really kind, too. |
| Ridiculous DF is the best in the dc area. |

I had an amazing DF experience. I have two wonderful children, both from eggs retrieved a day before my 42nd birthday.
Pretty much says it all... And Dr. G a negative expletive? Really? I don't think you could possibly be familiar with Dr. G, because it is completely impossible...the man weathered me and my personality for about 5 years (our delays NOT DFs)...and the few times there was a misunderstanding...(on MY emotional/hormonal part)...he spoke with my husband and asked my husband to contact Dr. G DIRECTLY, because he must have misspoken, or I misunderstood, and he wanted to be sure that we were all on the same page. BTW...he spoke to my husband, because I typically refused to call Dr. G on my own, and he realized that my husband was likely suffering the brunt of my angst, and he just didn't want that to happen. He also helped us out in a pinch, after all my treatment with DF was complete and successful. I just refuse to think that you have ANY true knowledge about DF or Dr. G, because what you have said doesn't even remotely match with reality! |
| Couldn't agree more PP |
| Dr. Khan at Shady Grove might be skilled but he has a horrible bedside manor. When I asked him if my thyroid problems would contribute to problems getting pregnant he acted like I am an idiot and said the two are not related. They made my situation sound so dire instead of trying to make me feel better. I guess it takes a lot to get someone to spend that much money. She even said my situation was horrible when I said things could be worse. After saying a few more insulting things I decided to get a second opinion with Dr. Esposito (also at SG). She ran tests and found out I have Hashimotos (an autoimmune thyroid condition that causes high miscarriage rates). I was thankful for her diagnosis but not interested in the high price tag and how low they said my chances were so I didn't go back. I waited a year and then decided to try Dominion and got pregnant on the first try with Natural Cycle. Although Dr. Gordon is my "doctor" I have only seen him twice. He is okay, much better than Dr. Dimatina who is a total jerk. I like Dr. Reh, she is patient and did my egg transfer. The nurses are also very kind and down to earth, not such a factory feel. The office is kinda gross compared to Shady Grove but for some reason the old grungy office felt more comfortable to me than the genetic factory of SG. I think anyone can have a bad experience with either place, it just depends what your needs are. |
| Dr Gordon is fantastic! I can't imagine not liking him - he is so nice! |
| Dominion is quite a bit more expensive. |
| In general is Dominion more conservative with SG on their protocols? For example, med dosage, that sort of thing? |
| I have not been a patient of Shady Grove, but I did not think Dominion was conservative. During the time I was with them, I felt like they evolved with new research and their findings with their own patients. They were also flexible with my own feelings of what would work or help, etc. |
