| I have an idea... firefighter appreciation week, police officer appreciation week, cafeteria worker appreciation week, social worker appreciation week.... home meal chef (one who cooks at home) appreciation MONTH (where they don’t cook at all), house cleaner appreciation season (just pick spring summer fall winter), bus driver appreciation week (yes this one was for real at our school... didn’t bat an eye), school bus CLEANER appreciation week, appreciation planner appreciation DAY of the MONTH (one day every month)!!! Don’t you love these ideas? Haters have no gratitude and there is something obviously wrong with their soul. Who doesn’t want this?? All you have to do is grow a home flower patch in your garden. So easy!! All you have to do is pluck one every morning for whatever appreciation week it is. |
| When PTA "leaders" complain it just adds to the complaining .. the complaining of teachers (in many cases), administration. Please don't "lead" the PTA, or be involved, if you're the type to complain when your vision of PTA isn't shared. Not everyone thinks every PTA idea needs to be supported. |

I’m a SAHM and still think it is a lot. I used to be on the pta board and was the staff appreciation chair. It was a lot of work and the teachers genuinely appreciated it.
I actually like bringing in food for the staff. I had a baby last year so I sent in keurig k cups and orange juice this year. It really isn’t hard to add a few items when you go grocery shopping. I didn’t do everything the pta suggested and I did everything in one day. Bought a flower pot, target gift card, sent in treats and note. I bought this on the same day as keurig and orange juice. |
| I adore my kids’ teachers more than anyone anywhere. I need them and I appreciate them. It’s just five days? Why not every single Friday? |
