Disagree. It's obviously a list to avoid the great unwashed who populate most of DCPS.

You make the list then. Reasonable commmute from Bloomingdale and access to a middle school with a non-trivial number of students on or above grade level. Let's see what you got.

We're PK3, no sib preference but do have a good back up option if this all falls through. Already struck out on the WL #208 at LAMB and in the 60s at Bethune. We aren't holding out hope for either of those but. as you can see, we prefer dual language.

I think I’m your neighbor and waitlist twin on both LAMB and Bethune. FYI, many people on this board say you can get into Bethune from a WL spot in the 70s, so don’t give up hope.

Why Shepherd #2 if you want dual language?

+1. We are IB for Shepherd and it's a great little school in many ways, but I was wondering the same thing. There are language offerings at Shepherd, but not what you'd want if your goal is fluency.

We’re ok giving up fluency on the chance that a Deal/Wilson pathway with convenient pickup for grandparents who live in MD allows us to stay in the city longer. We included the schools we like and then factored in: 1. Commute convenience, 2. Language options, 3. Middle school options

She won't need to fight! There already are clubs in place at Lee where students can do Spanish twice a week, French once a week, and most quarters ASL once a week.

That's what you're really mad about, which is why "spaghetti at the wall" made no sense.

Someone has to get into Latin without a sibling, and you are going to be the one. You are grateful for the bus drop off near CHML and will be using it daily.

Swami thinks you maybe didn't understand the lottery, but will have a good year at SWWFS. You will wonder what idiot chose black polos for 3 year olds as the uniform and lobby for a uniform color change.

Swami says Bethune (both campuses before May), Breakthrough on Friday with real anxiety about their location issues. You won't have numbers better than 40 at any of your top schools and buckle up for the location uncertainty.

So far you are correct Swami. Offered at MMB both locations. Is Breakthrough uncertain about Takoma Park location?
    Anonymous
Not Swami. Breakthrough hopes to operate in both its current location and Takoma for a couple years.

Takoma location has not yet been approved by the PCSB.

    When will it get approved?
