Swami seems to have wandered off and many lists remain un-Swamied.

That's because this thread is full of petty A.F. b*tches and Swami is tired our *sses. (I assume. I have no telepathic communication with Swami.) Hope she's off enjoying a latte and fancy chocolate egg somewhere.

If you want her back, BEHAVE!

Are you crazy? Swami is fun but it's just someone with a bit of knowledge making predictions. Chill the f out. And if someone is posting their list on here, EXPECT JUDGMENT (especially if it makes zero sense).

Swami says chocolate really isn't my thing... do you have some queso?

Swami says you'll get into TEC, stay at your daycare, and have a soul searching convo in your family about what is a charter vs. voucher school as you track all DCPCSB actions for the next year. You'll eventually move across the border, live in TKPK and vote for the Bernie endorsed candidate for all elections from here on out.

Hi Swami - Thanks for making waiting time more fun!

We're PK3, no sib preference but do have a good back up option if this all falls through. Already struck out on the WL #208 at LAMB and in the 60s at Bethune. We aren't holding out hope for either of those but. as you can see, we prefer dual language.

1. DC Bilingual
2. Shepherd
3. Mundo Verde
4. Powell Dual lang
5. Bancroft
6. EL Haynes
7. CMI
8. Takoma EC
9. Capital City
10. Breakthrough
11. Center City Brightwood
12. Whittier (IB)

I think I’m your neighbor and waitlist twin on both LAMB and Bethune. FYI, many people on this board say you can get into Bethune from a WL spot in the 70s, so don’t give up hope.

K, no sibiling

Van Ness
Hyde
Eagle Riverfront
Langley

Swami says you will get into Eagle on pull, stick with Leckie for the time being, but get into Van Ness by August when all the Maury kids peel out.

That would work for me thanks swami!

Anonymous wrote:Does Swami adjudicate marital lottery disputes? Here is our list, for PK3, IB at Noyes.

1. Yu Ying
2. Stokes Spanish
3. Stokes French
4. Mundo Verde
5. Inspired Teaching
6. Lee
7. Two Rivers 4th
8. Two Rivers Young
9. Shining Stars
10. JO Wilson
11. Bruce-Monroe (English dominant)
12. Langley

DH believes that not listing Noyes, our IB, is a good plan because we can add it back right after the lottery and would jump the list. I would have preferred to eliminate Bruce-Monroe as too unlikely and keep Noyes to avoid the uncertainty. What does Swami think?

Swami thinks this is the only thing your husband has been right about in some time, and you will have a terrible pull, add Noyes, and by the end of the summer end of enrolling at Noyes, then Langley (after hard conversation on whether it is that much better), and SSMA by August. Save a copy of your enrollment paperwork.

Thank you Swami! Langley is actually more convenient for us, so I think we would choose it. DH is not sold on SSMA, so we'll see.

Why Shepherd #2 if you want dual language?

+1. We are IB for Shepherd and it's a great little school in many ways, but I was wondering the same thing. There are language offerings at Shepherd, but not what you'd want if your goal is fluency.

Disagree. It's obviously a list to avoid the great unwashed who populate most of DCPS.
