Reads more like he admitted he flashed an OK sign, which some people interpret as a white power signal. And some people interpret as standing for 666. And some people interpret as a symbol in support of communism. I sometimes wear red. And I sometimes wear blue. While the crips or the bloods might lay claim to those colors, my wearing them doesn't mean I'm aligning myself with them. And admitting I understand that "red" and "blue" sometimes have meanings beyond what they do for me does not mean I'm acknowledging aligning with the crips or bloods. Some of y'all are ridiculous. |
Way too reasonable a response for this crew. |
But if you were working in an office with a bunch of crips you might be careful about what color you wear. No one would care about this kid making an OK sign if Trump hadn't brought in Miller/Gorka/Bannon an reacted to Charlottesville in an appropriate way. It's all about context. |
| Wow, 12 pages of you all working hard to call a young Jewish male a Nazi. You don't usually see something like that outside of Stormfront. |
Ethnicity and political thought don’t always line up. Racists struggle with that reality. |
There is an undercurrent of antisemtism here. As you say, a lot of effort to make a young Jewish guy look bad. Otherwise, why was his religion brought up so early in the thread? I wonder if it the same PP who posted something about "young right-wing Jews" elsewhere, and not in a flattering light. |
| The far-left is becoming tinged with anti-Semitism, as their rapid opposition to Israel becomes conflated with anti-Jewish sentiment. They can object all they want, but we see it in this thread. The fact that this young man is Jewish is irrelevant. |
What exactly is the "far left"? |
|
I think the poor fool just copied a gesture he saw Miller and many others in the administration making.
He didn't realize it was a slur directed at him and other Jews. |
I think when someone is being accused of being a neo-nazi, the fact that they're Jewish is relevant. |
The issue of him being Jewish was brought up by the intern himself in his mealy-mouthed excuse issued to the press. No one else brought it up, or was even aware of his Jewish background, until he brought it up himself. It's a laughable leap of logic that he "he can't be bigoted!" solely because of his Jewish background. How do you explain the bigoted articles that emerge from Breitbart, which is largely edited and staffed by Jewish writers? |
The intern’s religion is relevant since it is a main determinatet of a Nazi. |
It is okay to admit you are wrong. You should try it. |
Pp here. I misspelled the word “determinant.” I was wrong. |
Nah, I'm cool. You'll just keep deflecting with "...but but but anti-Semitism!!!" without actually addressing my points. It's a shame you can't stay on topic. |
