I saw the ‘05 semi today while waiting for a nephew’s game. Those kids played textbook—they moved beautifully with zero long balls—short quick passes and some kids with incredible footskill—not size. Anything new gets tails wagging and vitriol. You know you are doing well when people start coming on the attack. If we didn’t live in NY I’d sign my kid up. Anytime you get in an argument with a parent that wants to compare Gotsoccer points, you know you are dealing with an idiot. Let it roll. If they are that worked up they have an agenda. |
| My god, that ‘08 parent is a nut job. THEY ARE NINE. Ha! |
So....you live in NY, but hang out on a DC board leafing through the soccer threads? LMAO. Hi FCB guy, you aren't fooling anyone. Dealing with idiots, indeed. |
Not the OP but this is quickly becoming the default Soccer board for the area. |
Since when does "the area" include New York? |
Yes, I'm not convinced being able to play up is proof of talent and that the lack there of means a player isn't skilled. That often comes back to size and speed. Sometimes a talented player skills wise may not physically be ready to play against older players, and a less talented but big player can. |
