Don't know about that. They are still training outside at night...and it was snowing in Leesburg during practice last night's practice. 28 degrees when we were out there. Some of the kids were in just shorts. |
Um ... it was snowing. So ... there were snowflakes. Some might call that a "pun" or a "play on words." |
| If you’re really worried about how your child is going to do at FCB long-term, then watch their U16 and older level teams play. They are damn good. |
Lol, they have only trained those boys for what.. a year? |
Be a troll all you want, it’s obvious the work they’ve put in with those boys and their build-up is very smooth. |
Troll comments are a dime a dozen around here pal. I think its "this" guy 7, "nothing burger" guy 5, and "troll guy" 3 just this week alone. You should step it up. The point is, FCB can scarcely claim credit for those boys skill level after only 1 year. They may have them playing well as a team, but I don't think they can take much credit for developing the players. |
| This is a somethingburger. |
FCB can certainly claim credit for how those teams are performing. |
|
It all comes down to coaching! Club names do not make a difference, if FCB is performing it's because they have recruited and trained the way the coach wants them to. Sure many of these kids play at a high level because they have gotten their technical skills from somewhere, but the coach creates the on field know how of how to move the ball. I'm not a fan of FCB's current model of league play, but I know a good amount of the players and they recruited some good ones.

| Against whom? Age groups? How did they compete? |
| Doesn't look like many of their teams did that well, and some did very poorly, even in low brackets, at a couple tournaments this weekend. |
Their 2005 team is in Finals. 29 goals and only 1 conceded since they started competing this spring. All wins. Premier Cup&Potomac. They can’t get into upper brackets until they keep racking up wins because of Gotsoccer and how we freeze our teams from leagues and tournaments. Several teams won in VA Beach recently. Older boys ‘01/02 very good record. Friendlies against some top teams- held their own. Like travel it’s a big place and their training is superb. Do you want us to go Club by Club and start pointing out every team that did poorly? What a weird post. Scores tell you nothing about the actual game in development. |
I agree with this. 08 boys got destroyed against Bethesda and lost and tied some no name clubs out of Maryland. |
