Can someone explain?

You live in a Blue State and should derive joy out of paying higher local and state taxes to take care of those who didn’t have the privilege you have. You are the nameless, faceless giver and your graciousness shows by not needing appreciation by those who benefit from your success. You are a Democrat because you believe in sharing.

Time to share.

So everyone in the blue state should share their hard earned money to the millionaires, billionaires , corporations and the moocher red states. This is not the same as sharing for the needy or education, research, healthcare or infrastructure.

Fuck the needy. Everyone in your book is "needy". That's your go to for redistribution of income. Twenty two trillion in welfare over the last 50 years (the new deal, the fair deal, the square deal, lend a helping hand, etc.) and the "needy" are only getting greater. Time to cut them off. You want to live? You work. Or you starve to death.
I say pass out some small arms in inner-shitties and let them kill each other. That'll get 'em off the dole. Now that's progress!

How do you make a contribution to reduce the debt?

There are two ways for you to make a contribution to reduce the debt:

At Pay.gov, you can contribute online by credit card, debit card, PayPal, checking account, or savings account.
You can write a check payable to the Bureau of the Fiscal Service, and, in the memo section, notate that it's a gift to reduce the debt held by the public. Mail your check to:

Attn Dept G
Bureau of the Fiscal Service
P. O. Box 2188
Parkersburg, WV 26106-2188

Now get on it.

NP here and I'll gladly pay 15K more a year in taxes - a lot for my family - if it means we have single payer healthcare for every American, fully funded public school education, including affordable public pre K, and we properly care for our most vulnerable in this country, including the mentally ill, veterans, and the elderly.

But the Republicans aren't about taking money from people like me and helping society at large. They are taking money from middle class families like mine to give more to BILLIONAIRES AND CORPORATIONS. Disgraceful. We have some of the lowest tax rates in the world ALREADY. And after all the yakking and groaning from the GOP about the deficit - they're happy to add 1.5 trillion dollars to it to line the pockets of people like DeVos and the Koch brothers.

Is that the utopia that Trumpkins have in mind? Is that what coal miners in Pennsylvania voted for?

I'd love to hear any Republican give an explanation for that with a straight face. And trickle down economics is a hoax and no respectable economist supports that theory. So you can move to the next cheap talking point.

Yea, you aren't going to get that for $15 grand. Sorry to wake you out of your idiotic progressive dream. We have a debt of about $62,000 for each and every person in the country TODAY. That's an indisputable government supplied number.

"We have some of the lowest tax rates in the world ALREADY." - No, we have the highest taxes in the world ALREADY making us uncompetitive in a global economy.

You are an idiot. The country already has debt as big as the gdp. How does giving tax cuts reduce debt/deficit? It will make US like Greece in the long run.

Why hasn't any tax cuts produced the growth that replaces the lost revenue due to tax cuts? It only increases deficit. Can you name any time when this happened? Reagan? Or two bushes? With bushes left the economy in a recession. Bush squandered the Clinton surplus in 8 years.

We went from 10 ----> 20 TRILLION in eight years.

That means, we went from $30,000 dollars to $60,000 dollars of debt for each and every person in the country (and that's just the numbers on the books. Off books, it's much more).

That's for EVERY person, not every worker. For EVERY worker, it's $170,000.

DO YOU RUN YOUR HOUSEHOLD FINANCES LIKE THAT? YOU CAN'T TAX ENOUGH TO CLOSE THAT GAP. PEOPLE STOP WORKING WHEN YOU TAX THEM AT AN 85% TAX RATE. YES, I'M YELLING YOU DUMB MOTHER FUCKER.

So the rich are the needy in your book. The rich should be given all the help they don’t need because they MAY let some trickle down to the middle class and the poor. You want to be rich you live off the back of hard working people in the middle/upper middle. How else can you justify the CEO compensation that is 100x or 1000x more than the average salary. Are they working 100x harder than the average employee or do they have an IQ 100x that of the average employee?

You are the idiot average employee who is affected yet you are a slave to the rich masters.

What? She won by 3 million votes. But we live in a country , the only country in the world , where elections are conducted to pick the loser to be president due to slavery era EC. The GOP has only won the popular vote 1/7 recent elections and even that one time by one state in 2004. How long can this tenuous EC win continue? How long will people affected by CLimate change keep quiet? How long will people tolerate taking money from the middle and upper middle and giving it to the rich? How long will the diverse nation tolerate the racism and white supremacists?

People like you are on the losing side of history. You can’t change the direction the country is heading. You can’t take America back to the 1950s. You can’t wish away the rise of china. You can’t always get more than your fair share of global wealth. You can’t be a protectionist and grow because we will be isolated. If we shy away from competition it doesn’t mean others will pack and go.
