This season feels really, really awkward. They should have done more of a cast overhaul.

I think this is a big part of what makes her so unappealing. She's not interesting/likable for her own show, so why not get paid to disparage everyone else? She's also there to prop up Carole, but I'd be happy if they both left the show.

But she had her own show that got good ratings. And they just gave her a spinoff with the real estate guy...

I'm not Bethenny's biggest fan, but if they did a poll about who became the biggest success because of the Housewives shows, she would win running away.

I'd look at it another way.....who was a self made success BEFORE the series? As far as I can tell it is only Betheny. The rest did a nice job of marrying. That's why I always cut her some slack......and don't forget while the rest of these bimbos are day drinking, she's actually working.

You are so wrong.

-Ramona built her OWN retail company--buying clothing at steep discount and selling to retailers like TJ Maxx and Marshalls. And she helped her husband with his religious artifacts business, etc. She made a LOT of money on her own before she married and before the show.

-Kelly Bensimon--very successful model BEFORE she met and married Gilles Bensimon. She also has published a successful novel and is working on a second.

-Carole Radziwill--went from small-town upstate New York to being an intern for NBC Nightly News, then working her way up the ranks to producer/journalist. Won an Emmy for a piece she did in Cambodia. THEN married her famous husband, and writing a truly phenomenal, NYT-bestselling memoir. THEN she was a Housewife.

-LuAnn--small-town Connecticut to modeling career, then was a TV host in Italy, and THEN met the count and got married and was a Housewife.

-Heather Thompson--very successful with helping celebs launch their clothing lines, then founded Yummie Tummie--before becoming a Housewife

-Cindy Barshop--founder of hugely successful salons and related retail enterprises, BEFORE she was a Housewife

Meh, I haven't heard of half of those people and their accomplishments, if that's what you want to call them, seem fairly trivial. But I don't care so please don't respond.

You like the show enough to watch it and comment on this forum, but you "haven't heard of half of those people"? HAHAHAHAHA!

NP here. I used to love, love, love Bethenny, to the point where I have read most of her books, have bought her products, have Tweeted nice things to her, etc. I watched "Bethenny Getting Married?" and "Bethenny Ever After." I was so excited when she was back on RHONY.

But then I saw how rude and awful she is. She was TERRIBLE to Jules, who never did a thing to Bethenny. She was fairly awful to Heather and to Kristen. She seems very put-upon to film with anyone. She's so self-centered, she's a know-it-all, and she's mean. She has lost all the self-awareness, humility and wit and charm that allowed her to get away with her biting side in the past. She now is just mean with no upside. I went from her biggest fan to someone who can barely stand her. If I sat next to her on an airplane, I swear, I would just read a magazine and hope she didn't talk to me.

Man you are so defensive of her. Clearly you are her PR plant.

She's a pretty vile person. Look at any old RHONY thread on this site. She is not liked.

Oh come on, now. She is awful. I was so excited to see her Hamptons house and how beautifully she decorated. Now every time it's shown, I think of her slinking around with hunched shoulders at her own party.

She really is disturbed if she can't pull it together for the sake of her brand. If the divorce has been that tough on her, a better decision would have been to stick to appearances she can better control.

Why did LuAnn say Bethenny was wicked at that dinner? I can't remember what B did that made LuAnn upset. Was it about Tom?

It could be related to Bethenny BLASTING Luann in the Berkshires, slut-shaming her to the extreme. Wicked is practically a compliment after all the names Bethenny called Luann (slut, whore, etc.)

Both Bethenny and LuAnn said in the last episode that they are in a relatively good place with one another. Let's see if it lasts.

Ooooh, that Barbara woman is certainly no "friend" of LuAnn's. That was awful, her and Carole whispering about LuAnn and Tom...AGAIN.

People, LuAnn is a grown woman who knows the man she loves and is going to marry is a playboy. She wants to marry him anyway. She is quite the "worldly" woman herself--it works for them. If you can't be genuinely happy for them, fine! Don't accept an invitation to their wedding.

Why is it so hard to say "best wishes" and keep it moving?

I'm guessing any therapist worth their weight won't subject their sessions to tv viewers. He's probably the only one that agreed to be on tv.

And on top of all that - Bethenny was NOT a success before the housewives series. I distinctly remember earlier RHONY shows where Bethenny is always complaining about how she has no money and was the poorest HW. In fact, I remember once during one of those side-interviews where she was complaining how she's the poorest one of the group, but always gets stuck paying the bill for their adventures (I want to say this was after a parasailing or hot air balloon ride or something where everyone just left to their cars after the event and she was stopped to pay the bill).

She was just a personal chef in the early years and only made it big because of the HW series.

I still like Bethenny. I think she's had a really hard time of it and her behavior lately has been really rough. That said, it was outrageous for Ramona to ask her what she did about Brynn. I wouldn't be forgiving her so quickly either. Ramona was just being a typical sh*t stirrer.

I did see this week that Bethenny will be joining Shark Tank in the Fall. I'd definitely be interested in seeing how she handles that.

And I disagree that she wasn't anything before the HW series. She was definitely broke when she started on the HW, but she was always actively seeking to launch her own company. After being a personal chef, she launched a cookie line and then started her margarita (which is what catapulted her to millionaire).

While I don't like Bethenny at all anymore, I was also horrified by Ramona's behavior. But it is no surprise: she went after LuAnn's kids a few seasons ago, and seems to have no limit to her lows. Say what you will about Bethenny and LuAnn, but they do have their limits--they would NEVER bring kids into it.

Plus, Bethenny was the runner-up in Martha Stewart's Apprentice circa 2005. She had done realty TV before Housewives.

Who are you people? I watch the show because I like seeing a bunch of wealthy women drink and be mean to one another. Yes, of course they are rude, nasty and self-centered. Who would watch otherwise?!
