They ask for hundreds of millions in increases every year and when they don't get everything they want, they call it a "cut" Very dishonest.

Don't worry, they'll plead "cuts" again next year and the cycle will repeat.

Yes, the number of students increases every year, the number of students needing special services increases, and mandated benefits for teachers has been increased. So the budgetary needs increase.

Nope. Not close.

Number of students this year is flat. 0 increase.

There is absolutely no evidence the number of special needs students are increasing.

"mandated benefits?", well, write your legislator and ask to hold benefits flat. The benefits are great now, no need to increase.

Even so, we had a very large increase this year, and mark my words, they will be back for more. You can't feed a bureaucrat enough money.

Look at page 4.

Ummmmm. Ok, I looked at page 4. What does slight growth in 2013 have to do with zero growth in 2016-2017?

Please, someone, explain where the money is coming from.

See slide 7 and 8 of the one on one presentation:

I don't see anything about Chantilly. What am I missing? On slide 9 I see as part of Phase 1, Grades 3-12 New HP probook. Is this what's being added? Where is it being added? Was this part of the original budget that was approved this spring?

Do you understand economics? Taxes are paid on apartments and rental units, but by the landlord. The landlord passes those costs onto the renter. So the apartment living ELS and PARM people are indirectly paying realestate taxes

Not the pp, but you obviously don't understand economics. Landlords charge what the market will bear, which is a function of supply and demand. They don't merely pass on all their costs.

If a landlord doesn't pass on all his costs and some profit - well, he won't be a landlord for very long.

If someone is really "poor", they probably should be preparing meals at home rather than eating out at Chipotle or Noodles 'n Company.

Right. Just like the people who use their EBT cards to buy junk food. Selfish and pathetic, isn't it?

Did you know you can use your EBT card to buy pizza at 7-11? Slices not allowed, but whole pizzas are ok. I learned that because 7-11 has a sign explaining it.

Are you saying this is a good thing or a bad thing?
