90 Day Fiance, Season 3

Most likely Jorge presented himself as this really wealthy guy since he took Anfisa on various trips. When she came to the USA, she found out that it was not the case. Why else would she want to get married at age 20? Yes, she is annoying but I think she feels betrayed and lied to.

Poor Danielle, I wonder if her kids have the same father.

He's driven a Camry or something similar in the first episodes before Anfisa came, then the Audi, and as soon as she keyed a black car we've never seen before he goes back to the Camry. What's that all about? Where are his license plates??

clearly they are rentals

Rentals would have license plates. In California, new-car buyers are issued temporary registration that gets tucked away in a corner of the front windshield. They have 90 days to get their permanent license plates installed. In the meantime, they're free to drive around without any means of being identified by law enforcement officials or other drivers. (a.k.a. no license plate)

And he's ridiculing her because of it? How said.

This is normal in Russia. Even among college-educated women, it is considered fine--if not ideal--for a girl to lock down a good marriage very young. An Eastern European woman should be married before late 20s: single women of 30+ are considered garbage, unfortunately. Alla, for example, would be looked upon with pity, and would not be able to date even an average man. I live in Eastern Europe.

He's not really ridiculing her because of it. He said it was the reason he doesn't want to have sex with her until she gets it taken care of.

Did Alla just flat out say she came for the green card?

Come on, Patrick. Alla's story has not changed since day one. Life in Ukraine is hard. She has been looking for a way to get out, to get a better life for herself and her son. That's why she started looking into the international matchmaking in the first place. No different than Matt, or any of the American guys, who went looking specifically for foreign brides. She has been upfront about her intentions from the start. She has never said she married Matt specifically just for a green card--she was looking to marry an American in order to come here. She ended up choosing Matt because he's the American she wants to be married to. And Alla is apparently the foreigner Matt wants to be married to.

Alla's one of my favorite people ever on this show, and she seems to be one of the most committed people as well. She understands that you can't fall in love with someone from such a long distance after meeting sporadically in person and talking over Skype. But she is committed to making the marriage work and helping real love blossom, once they are spending all their days together. I think her affection for Matt is real, even if she won't call it "love." Look at the other couples who claim to "love" each other--Does Jorge's frequent use of "my love" to Anfisa make their marriage more legit? Anfisa has never claimed to be here for the green card, only for Jorge's money.

Yes, but in Anfisa's case, who had some kind of internet fame, getting married to settle down is definitely not the goal.
She smart but quite immature. She wants to be a model, be on billboards, as she said. Who knows what Jorge promised her off cameras.

As she said in yesterday's episode, the camera is portraying her to be this bad person but no one is videotaping what he is doing to make her act crazy.
So now, his bank account is frozen. He also said she went and bought 2 expensive bags, in two different stores, in cash.

And I really don't buy it when he insisted that he gave her $5000 cash so that she would fly first class to Russia. If he really wanted her to go, he would have bought her ticket online and printed out a receipt.
And the apartment he got, seems to be in a very remote place where there's nothing to do. She said she wanted to live in a place closer to LA.

And those sisters he has? They all seem to be so much older than him. Not sure but Jorge seems to be the real scammer ...

He has to deal mainly in cash because of his marijuana business. Though legal where he is, it's still difficult to form relationships with banks, so it's not uncommon for those in the business to deal exclusively in cash.

But I think I really did start to understand Anfisa more last night, especially during the wedding. She gets cranky over things, but looking at each thing, she really has a point. When he picked her up from the airport the first time, he brought a tiny car, without consideration that she would be bringing enough luggage to MOVE to a new country! She mentioned once that he didn't apologize with flowers or anything romantic. He took his sweet time getting them an apartment when it sounded like he led her to believe she could expect him to have a stable place to live set up for her. Then when she prodded him, saying that hotels were not acceptable to her, he continued to stall. Even with a criminal background, it is not THAT hard to get an apartment . And clearly he was able to, so it was possible all along. When driving to the wedding, he said he was "busy" with work and had the pipes or lighting or whatever in the car... on the way to their wedding! Again, he didn't think ahead and try to make it special, like renting a limo or something. If he thinks giving her money is enough for her, then she's right to assume that her ass and titties are enough for him. That's their deal, and if he's not able to pony up with the thoughtful and romance, he shouldn't expect it in return.

I also think a lot of the drama (car keying, etc) was producer driven. It was just too over the top, especially with Jorge going ahead with the wedding in the end. Or possibly some of it was agreed upon by J&A to get more airtime or look more interesting (cuz Jorge by himself... snoozer!)

Totally agree. Alla is one of my favorites as well.

Nicole = Her parents enabled her by agreeing to care for her daughter while she went to Morocco to meet a man that she HAD TO KNOW would not be in to her! Look at HIM and look at HER. If I had been her mom, I would have locked her in her room and thrown away the key.

Pedro = I like him. He said many times to Chantel that he wanted to tell her parents the truth. He was actually quite honorable about it. I think they make a good couple, both are equally attractive.

Alla = who doesn't like Alla! She could easily be my best friend. no nonsense, tells it like it is yet respectful. Patrick got lucky with Wife #4. Matt is a douche.

Anfisa...ANFISA!! I love waiting her. She makes it so easy. I give her credit for not sugar coating anything but she treated Jorge like shit. Then again, he allowed it which diminished him in Anvisa's eyes big time. If he would have had a different attitude from the beginning, Anfisa would actually have respect for him. It's clear Jorge was used to getting abused by women. The first time she pulled one of her stunts with his phone, shoulda been the last time!
It is a dysfunctional relationship and that's how they like it.

It's also the way he said it- "no one would ever want to have sex with someone like that." And the mere fact that he even brought it up in the first place.

Was Azan in it for the green card, though? He seems to love everything about Morocco and his culture, so was he really seeking to move?

I like Pedro's mother. She was having none of that prenup shit. I read that she is a lawyer or doctor or some kind of higher-ranking professional in the DR, so she's not putting up with this "Pedro is a poor immigrant who's in it for a green card" nonsense. I do think the two of them were the best match--same age, same immaturity, etc. Like Loren and Alexei, they just happened to fall for each other while being from different countries. Neither one sought out a foreign partner.
