Have you heard of rolling admissions? Happens everywhere.

The colleges listed above not only account for all students (including the one who will enlist), but many are instate values.

Some folks won’t get it, and that’s okay. We love the Ireton family and trust them with our daughter and her academic and spiritual future.

BI's absence of seniors headed to Notre Dame and Georgetown for a Catholic school is conspicuous and reflects BI's mission of being the Catholic equivalent of a public school open to all. Visitation, Sacred Heart, St Anselms, and Gonzaga have different missions and their college lists look very different and certainly no less Catholic.

BI is just a Catholic public high school. I have no idea why you would pay a decent amount of money to send your kid here vs TC.

Are you same poster asking parents the same question in the SSAS thread??? My child is attending BI and isn't zone for TC. Also BI was my child's first choice. Why do you care on what school spend their money on?

For the community. The faith based education, the caring faculty and staff, the opportunities to serve others, excel in theater and surround themselves with other students and families who value what we do. My youngest of 3 is going to be a sophomore at Ireton. We have been mostly happy with the academics, thrilled with the theater program, the administration knows my kids and family, and we are very willing to pay for our experience.

Your feelings indicate that you don’t know BIHS or the people who make it a special place. If you don’t have kids at the school and don’t have questions about it why are you spending your time being negative? You are uninformed and and unkind.

Big News at BIHS is the quick departure of AD Bryce Bevill. He apparently resigned on Thursday.

Hopeful that new Head will get the search process done well. Rumors of Inteirm are starting.

Hoping Cardinals pull something together.

Why did he leave and where did he go?

Did he resign or was he pushed out?

Previous guy left under a cloud, inappropriate behavior hushed up. Bill Simmons stepping up in interim. Several new coaches, too. New leadership desperately needed there.

Are you referring to Bevill when you say “previous guy”? Yikes.

I thought the coaches liked Simmons, so that is good for the interim.

Who is hired the new coaches for fall? Bevill or Simmons?

I agree Bevill was not right fit. Really anyone who didn’t like Simmons before now thinks he walks on water after the mess(es) of last year. Heard an in house admin wanted the job, will be fun to see what happens next, since capable person can fill in.

New coaches were hired by committee as vote of no confidence in AD was more and more clear.

VB- Brad Lacey from hayfield
XC- Bob Artman previous asst.
Boys Soccer - Ahmad Sasso
Girls Soccer - Lisa Ayaloi

Think that’s all for fall

No job posted yet, Simmons gets last laugh on Tom Curry and returns. Who do we think will be next to leave? Could another shake up be coming?

BI won a football game. That hasn’t happened there in a while. It was a well attended event. Let’s keep improving. Next AD! Hopefully Simonns will be involved in future plan so all non-b-ball teams don’t implode.

Does anyone know why Tom Curry left? Was he forced to resign? Was there anything specific to note? Just curious in Ohio...

People liked him personally but not professionally. Fundraising didn’t seem to go as planned and he was focused on appearances.

Our kids were at BI in the pre-Tom Curry era and we will be there for 3 more years in the post. We are grateful for the work Dr. Curry started with our building plan, that he was committed to the charism. Since his departure communication has improved, it seems like faculty morale has improved, I don’t know if $ raised has improved.
